Almost finished.
Started with a slab of Boyd's camo laminate.
4 coats of automotive urethane.  To be sanded and buffed later.

Sanded with 1500 and buffed today.  Cell pics don't do justice to how this thing pops in sunlight.


Recoil pad is on order.

Do you mean my choice of finish?
I did urethane clearcoat, because I wanted high gloss on this gun, and I'm impatient with the Tru-oil process.  With the urethane, it was sprayed, sanded, and buffed in 24 hours.  And I always have some extra clear laying around from touch up jobs on my truck.

I actually had to redo it due to a slip up when grinding the recoil pad .  Re-sanded, re-sprayed, re-sanded and re-buffed, 24 hours later, I was back in business.

Wonder how lacquer would work on a Boyd's stock.
