Recently Gander Mountain open a store here in Pensacola and has been having a decent supply of 22LR ammo on certain days like Thursday or Friday sales. Infact this week on Thursday you could buy Remington 22lr golden 1400 rounds , CCI 22LR mini-max 22LR, and M-22 one box of each and they had a nice supply of them.

I get confused over the CCI mini-max 36 gr 22LR ammo when it comes to the Ruger 1022 rifle or marlin model 60.

Id take CCI over golden bullets any day of the week. With a 10/22 and most .22lr pistol or rifles, you find what works, most 22s will like certain ones and certain ones wont group at all. I have a 22 that dont like winchester varmint but will group aquila and cci perfectly. The idea is to get a box of each and try it.

To answer your thread title....Yea, why not. As long as it's 22lr and not 22 mag.

CCI makes the best .22 ammo out there, my 10/22 & AWC Amphibian S love it.

My 10/22 won't run anything BUT CCI reliably. There's nothing worse than  having that squirrel dead to rights and then hearing click!!

Between CCI MMHP, Sub-Sonic HP, and Standard Velocity they take care of almost all my .22 ammo needs including the 10-22. The exception is Wolf Match that I buy for my target rifles. If I can't find one of the four I don't bother buying .22.

The problem with the current dry spell is the lack of decent quality .22 to buy in any kind of volume for a fair price.

A guy sold two bricks of 90s vintage Winchester Super X 40gr solids (great ammo) yesterday for .20 cent a round and it all sold it while I was standing at his table. I just refuse to pay that much.

Are you thinking of the warning in the manual about CCI Stinger?  It doesn't apply to standard 10/22s.  And since Mini-Mag is not Stinger, you should be fine.

Not only should you use it, it should be at the top of your list.  If you can find any.

CCI Mini-Mag has been my rifle's favorite food since 1978.

My 10/22 feeds and shoots anything including Golden Bullets and Thunderbolts.

No no no! Mini-mags are terrible for 10/22s!  Send all your crappy CCI ammo to me and I'll dispose of it free of charge!

My 10/22 is reliable with everything and accurate with most things.

Mini-mag works very well for me.

What is the issue with the CCI Stingers? I just picked up two boxes of these at Cabela's to add some variety to my collection. I have a Ruger 10/22 and SR22 Pistol.

Top right target was Federal bulk pack, bottom target was CCI Mini Mag, top left I don't recall the brand.  About 75 yards, 20 rounds each target.  10/22T.

Love me some Mini Mags!
