the little brass stock sight is not working for my old eyes. great for squirells but crappy for speed and quick sight picture acquisition. thoughts?

Those are very easy to see, but it's easy to break the fiber optic rod. Also, I've seen several just fall out.

if i am not using this weapon for anything but competition and keeping it secure in a case the rest of the time is it a go or no go?

ended up taken 8th place out of 48. not to bad for an old mans first time... that's what she said lol.

Using the sight above? I was going to suggest going to a hobby shop and getting some high contrast hobby paint and a fine brush to paint your front sight so it's easier to see. Sorry, day late again....

What kind of competition shooting are you doing? I don't think fiber optic sights are good at all for precision work. I would think that little brass thingy is better. But I know what you're saying about having a problem with the eyes. I think a black post that is flat on the top is the best. FWIW Are the tech sights like that?
