My father in laws Ruger is very nice and super accurate. Very smooth action. I will be purchasing one.

Henry Lever action.
Having said that, I have 3 Savage .17hmrs and 1 .22wmr and they all feed, now getting the mags in and out is another story. |

My Savage Mark II in 22lr had major feeding issues, but other people seem to love theirs. I guess some of them work right and others don't.

had a Marlin 917V that didn't want to feed hollowpoints. FMJ and poly-tipped worked fine. The mags sat a tad too low in the gun.
My CZ feeds everything I have given it without a problem. |

My savage was great. Savage 93 stainless bull barrel that would shoot 5 shots touching at 50yds. It didn't like hollow points but loved the plastic tipped stuff.
Now that I think about it the hollow points were ok as long ad you didn't baby the bolt. If you ripped the emptys out and slammed it back in it worked fine with hollow points. |

I only have a CZ 452 Varmint but it has been ultra reliable and deadly accurate with V-Max ammo over the last 9.5 years of ownership.

My Savage 93 has never had any problems.
it is pretty much my go to varmint gun and has never had an issue. Probably 2000 rounds of plinking/eradication without a single problem. Damn accurate too. |

I love my Marlin 917, but it dont like the Hollow Point Varmint TNT or whatever, but All I shoot is the Hornady or Federal V-Max anyway
Did I mention how much I love it? |

I have an old Marlin 17VS that feeds very reliably and is deadly accurate. (Although it is glass and pillar bedded and has a aftermarket trigger.)

When it comes to rimfires, if CZ is an option, CZ is the answer. They really are made to a much higher standard than most other rimfires, though that is reflected in the price. My 452 varmint is a tack driver and has never failed to feed. Neither has my Savage rimfire, but there really is no comparison between the two when it comes to fit and finish.

My 93R17BVSS is one of the most ridiculously accurate and superb handling bolt actions I've owned. Never a single issue.

I have a savage BVTS in .17HMR and put in a single shot aluminum mag black made by a guy on rimfirecentral my mag never workked well but the rifle is priced right and is very accurate. I was able to bend my feed lips on my original mag and fix it now it works but I like useing the single shot block in it now anyways.

Marlins and Savages work fine and I've never seen one misfeed. That being said, for a bolt rimfire I've never worked a bolt action smoother than my Ruger 77/22 mag, its has an unimaginable amount of kills over the last 13 years. I'd imagine the 17 HMR variety feeds just as smoothly.

My next rifle is going to be a CZ 455 with the option of 2 barrels, a 22LR and a 17HMR. I found that galleryofguns.com has it available for just under $500
