I am curious to see what results you are getting with your .22 bolt or semi auto at 50 yards with 10 round groups.

Also list the ammo and rifle being used.
I can't think of anything to say. Nada, zip, nothing.

I had one for 100yds but I threw it away last weekend while cleaning.
Groups were between 2.5" and 3.5" using Remington and Fed bulk.
Rifle is a 10-22 with 20" GM sporter barrel. 3-9x40 Bushnell.

Don't have any current 50yd targets...

This was before it got a new barrel. I believe it was Eley match target, but I cant remember if that is true.

Here are some 100yd groups from yesterday. All I had with me was cci blazer. This set up prefers fed auto match.

what about falling block?

targets:

first - actually 100 shots, not 50. I got tired of putting circles on.... this was a bit to do with crappy ammo (or at least ammo the gun doesn't like)

second - 10 rounds - this was the ammo it likes

Group sucks, but I was the reason. And the support I was using as a rest was not ideal.

Thanks for posting. I was curious how they matched up with some of mine.
These were shot with a CZ and custom 10/22.

The targets circled in blue had the potential to be the best group but notice there is a flyer or two.

First time out with the gun after I built it and first time for me actually trying to shoot decent groups. Only using the bipod and my shoulder on a bench

Tell me which target and which row and I will have to go back and check my Notes.

Rifle used:
Tactical Innovations Elite 22 receiver and bolt
Volquartsen TG2000 trigger group
Hogue stock
Adams and Bennett 18" bull barrel
Mueller AVP scope

Ammo used: Wolf Match Target

Odd size picture, taken with iPhone 3GS, didn't bother to resize.

Also should mention that being as I live in Vermont the temperature was about 25* or so that day.

The top is the custom 10/22 and the 2nd row is with the CZ. Both used Wolf Match Extra.

Nothing without pics, but I can shoot golf balls all day at 1 shot per ball at 100 yards. 50 yards? it would be one hole with ragged edges. Marlin model 70 with 3x9 scope. Love that rifle.... I will NEVER buy a 10/22 (if I want accuracy from the box). I use a mix of CCI mini mags, and Winchester bulk pack.

Here's my son's target for the slow prone stage of a rmifire match last fall. CZ 452 Military Trainer, Nikon Pro-Staff scope, Wolf MT, prone with a sling. There are 5 shots in the X-ring grouping. His first "100" score.

Don't have a 10 shot group, but I do have a 50.

Blazer 40 grain LRN.

Only a 20" barrel but the camera on my phone makes it look a hell of a lot longer.

Remington 597.

Here are a few from the National Rimfire Sporter Match at Camp Perry, July 2011. These are from my Ruger 10/22 with Eley Tenex Pistol ammo.

Remington Rangemaster Model 37 with factory Peep and Globe sights. I inherited this rifle from my Grandfather. He was a regional champion in the smallbore competitions in the late 30's - early 1940's in the New England. Impressive rifle. Every detail down to the screws are case hardened, and even the magazines are milled steel, rather than stamped. It is a fairly rare rifle. Only about 12,000 made between 1937 and 1953. Most were modified heavily as they were the gems of the smallbore sport at the time. I've never seen another one on arf.com.

You can tell that I'm still learning the rifle. I have some fliers, but once the groups get punched, they are right on top of each other. The fliers are certainly all me. I think this rifle is capable of more. Just need practice and find the load it likes best. (it was also frigid and windy, but I try not to let conditions matter much)

These are all 10 shot groups. 50 yards with Eley Match, bench rest off bags only. (my least favorite position)

WANTED: Someone to go back in time w/ me. Not a joke. PO Box 322 Hartford,CT 06132. You'll get paid after we get back. Must bring own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before.

I don't usually take pictures of targets but I did find one from 2007 when I mounted a scope on my Remington 540XR. The bottom right is zeroing the scope, the other three are 10 shot groups at 50 yards. It's a shooter, with the scope, can't do that anymore with the peep sights. It likes Wolf MT ammo.

Two more targets from today.
I was doing a test comparison of really really really really really expensive .22 ammo and inexpensive ammo.
As you can see, in all scenarios you can probably pop a golf ball all day at 50 yards and a soda can at 100 yards all day as well.

One target is using my Custom 10/22 and the other is using a CZ rifle.
Each target has 5 rows.
Each row is one box of ammo (50 rounds).
Each target is a 10 shot group.
The expensive ammo starts at the top and as you move down the target the ammo gets cheaper.
After each row, the rifle's bore was cleaned to start fresh for each row.
It was a fun test. I have more ammo to do.
