THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Trying to get some insight here with some thinking out loud...

I recall someone saying they tore down their Umarex 416 .22 and their Umarex Mp5 .22 and the barrels were "identical".

IF That is the case,

Could someone purchase the Umarex 416 .22 PISTOL barrel and use it to SBR their MP5? (with all the proper ATF blessings)

???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Can someone verify that I did see that at one point at ARFCOM, and if anyone has first hand info, would you please chime in???

Thanks!

apparently I'm the only one liking this idea, but just incase anyone is tracking for an answer... I sent an email out to Umarex, and about a month later, heard back. They verified that the 416 .22 pistol barrel will drop into the MP5. Cost is around 120 and there are none in stock at the moment.

Just emailed them about ordering a barrel as I'm expecting my form 1 to be approved any year now. Were you able to actually order a barrel not in stock? Thanks

I wasnt given the opportunity in the email, and it took quite some time for them to get back to me the second time. I was told to contact them towards the end of the month to check on availability. I wish someone would make an aftermarket barrel for it, as 116 seems a little steep for a super thin 9in sleeved barrel!
