I've been eager to get into a .22 AR for some time. I thought I wanted a dedicated upper but heard good things about the 15-22 so I took the plunge.

Always liked the MK18 but never wanted to go through 2 stamp hassle. My 15-22 fills this desire. What a blast to shoot.

I absolutely love these M&P15-22's, they are just light enough to make shooting all day long fun.  Perfect for plinking or hunting small game, they make an amazing squirrel hunting gun.  Here's mine, she's a Talo edition "Pink Platinum" with a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40 BDC 150.

It does not look like you bent that BAD lever, did you cut up the lower?

I did neither it doesn't really rub, sometimes very slightly but not enough to make me cut up the lower

Picked this up last week, LGS had it for $450 and the current promotion of 300 free rounds (mail in rebate), I can't find it cheaper anywhere else. I have some stuff sitting around for the AR-15 i am waiting on so i put it on here.

Magpul AFG
Magpul BAD lever
FourSevens Turbo w/ VTAC mount
Aimpoint PRO (coming off when the ar gets here shopping for a cheaper replacement currently)

Me too. It's made by Simple Weapon Solutions.

I got to test several of these out for the guy that makes them. The latest generation(in photo) had a lot of thought put into it to stop the brass from bouncing back into the chamber.

Troy-Pro Grade

I used a chainsaw file to remove a little material from the "buffer tube" for the clamping screw to clear.

Aimpoint T-1 with an IO Cover.

Wow, big spender putting the T1 on the 15-22 ;)  I would do the same if I had the money. I'm gonna stick a PA on mine and save the expensive optics for the other rifles. That cover looks real good with the rest if your rifle though.

That's what I did... the PA is fine on the 15-22 and makes a good substitute for the T1 on some of my others.

Finally ordered one last night and a magnifier. I'm interested to see the quality if it compared to the Aimpoint magnifier. I may buy more if it's as good as everyone says the magnifiers are, also picked up the Bushnell AR 22 scope. It was on sale at Amazon and came with free mount, same setup would have cost about $40 more at Optics Planet. Pic coming soon :)

Look a couple posts above yours.

Deflector - Simple Weapon Solutions
Rear sling mount - Troy Pro Grade
Front sling mount - Magpul RSA

Engraved under the trigger guard.

Have both a brick and a sling, just not pictured. . Trying not to burn through the .22, but a suppressed, sbr 15-22 doesnt make it easy.

Any of you guys ever try to cut a 25-round mag down to the same size as an AR 30-round mag? Still can't figure why S&W made these mags longer than a standard USGI 30-rounder, particularly since they don't hold 30 rounds. Probably a solution to a problem that doesn't really matter or even exist, just curious if anybody's done it.

HERE is a thread from the S&W forum.  Really good 15-22 sub-forum over there.  Lots of cool after market parts.

And Here's another good one from an Indiana forum.

Hope that helps.

I've seen the first link you provided; just wondering if any ARFcomers have made this mod. If I do it, I'm not making them any shorter than a standard USGI 30-round mag, though I'm kinda leaning away from doing it at the moment.

I've got all the stuff to do it and some spare mags.  I was actually going to chop down some of the 15-22 ProMags because they're just ridiculously long.  Unfortunately, I'm really lazy.    Maybe I'll take a whack at it this weekend.

Madbull rail?

I picked up a G&P 10" Knight's RAS for my SEAL recce project; I just bought a Smith Vortex flash hider threaded to fit the OPS/AE cans since I have an AEM5 in limbo, and I just threw down $250 for a Bushnell AR-223 1-4x with a one-piece SPR mount. Should be a cool little gun.

Nice work; my Raider neighbors approve, though they like SCARs for some fucked up reason.

My 15-22 currently wears a legit PRi tube but it's coming off in preparation for a Holland build at some point.
