Get it ordered and wait it out. Right now they are running about 3 weeks behind, not bad at all. GET ON THE LIST NOW. This. It will never be listed in stock. They dont charge until it ships. It's sooooo much nicer than stock. |

Got mine today, 3 weeks exactly from order date to doorstep. Sooo much nicer than the FV stock but I'm definitely going to either make or buy thicker bottom metal and more than likely pillar bed it. It's also getting a coat of OD green paint, just to be a little different.
20moa rail, XTR low rings, Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 mil, SS Sparrow

Quality is also very cheap in comparison. Swivel (obviously ) so you can keep your rifle level. Nothced legs for faster deployment. |

Does anyone know how far apart the two swivel studs are on the Mark II TR? I can't pick mine up until next Tuesday (stupid 10 day waiting period)
and I would like to get a piece of picatinny rail to put on the front, so I can mount my Atlas bipod to it. |

I would recommend this for a cheap but effective option: http://www.weaveroptics.com/rings_bases/tactical/picatinny_system/ |

Just bought a Savage Mk II. It is an older model, but with the accutrigger. I have discovered it is not drilled and tapped for a scope. It has the old style 3/8 dove tail grooves.
Can anyone tell me which scope base to buy that will fit the receiver. I know I have to drill and tap it, I just need to know which one matches the round receiver best. ST |

So this is the journey that may Savage Mark II FV-SR has taken. It has started as a standard FV-SR model, and I have slowly upgraded it.
In the beginning:
After adding a Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35mm with Center Point rings:
I then got really bored one night and tried out a sponge camo on the stock, and Krylon'd the rest of the gun:
Now the finished product!

We were at the range together so he let me use it. It is super quiet with Aguila Super Colibri rounds. And yes any suppressor can run bulk ammo, but it will be a bit more quiet with sub sonic rounds. And thanks! |

What subsonic or standard velocity .22LR works best for your MK2?

I've been having great luck with Aguila subsonics.
They're even quieter than remington CBee's inside the house Plus minute of li'l green army man accurate. |

I'm trying to do this build with minimal investment and am trying to decide if I get the DIP bottom metal and longer action screws $25 or deal with the flimsy OE bottom metal $6. Anyone shoot .22 shorts with a can? I accidentally bought some Aguila 22gr(?) a few years ago and would like to actually use them. Is it BB gun quiet? I need to order one of those stocks, I love my FV-SR, but the stock leaves a lot to be desired. I have some Aguila .22 Short HV ammo that I have shot suppressed in my FV-SR. It works fine, but its supersonic, so I get the crack downrange. I suspect the standard velocity shorts would be like a BB gun. Originally Posted By MisterPX:

Provided I do my part they always go right where I want them, and with the suppressor they are so quiet that the hammer falling and bullet striking the target are both louder than the report. I just ordered another couple bricks of the stuff I am so happy with it. My only problem with the Aguila subsonics is that they won't cycle my 22/45 reliably. I also ordered some Aguila HV RN, hopefully they will run the 22/45 and still be quiet suppressed. I need to get a bucket of those green army men. When I first started shooting that was one of my preferred targets. Originally Posted By ocshaman:

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile I found a couple on Gunbroker, but they were all more than $210, most of them were over MSRP. I got mine from Bud's for $197, but they stayed in stock for about 3 hours at that price. My boss recently got one from them (the last time they were in stock) for about $250. |
