He was coming right at you? Thank God you had your rifle. You could have been eaten alive. Or you could have been torn apart...  by his Razor Sharp Claws. So glad you made it out of the woods alive. Also glad you are still here, to tell the story.

Thank you my friend, it was a close call. It gets tough out here in the wilds, and lonely. But someone needs to keep these man-eaters at bay.

Another near death experience.....

Hoping to get an opossum that has been stalking our hens tonight. I got an mLok mount to work with the Nordic Components tube that I used on the chassis.  Surefire 600lm Fury Scout is ready to go!

PMACA "multi" chassis.  They offer a carbon fiber FF tube for it, but it was out of stock when I bought mine.  I modded a Nordic Components tube for mine.   I love the chassis.  I can adjust it down for my 6yo to shoot and extend it out for me.  I'll be picking up another one soon.

Not big on .22's, only own a Marlin Model 60....that is until today when my $99 Mossberg 702 Plinkster came in. So far I'm loving this lightweight little guy, haven't had a chance to shoot it, but plan on it this weekend!

Very nice brother, and there's nothing wrong with that stock. I do have a Fajen thumbhole laminate stock in nutmeg I'm not using if you want to upgrade though. The floods wee tough on all of us here. I'm reconditioning a Gibson J200 Hummingbird acoustic that got drowned for a family friend. PM me if you're interested in the stock, or if you just want to go burn some rimfire ammo. I have plenty to spare.

What scope mount is this? I see a lot of people using it

[Last Edit: williamec] [#40]
It's a "Game Reaper" 1 piece scope mount. I got the low version for my Vortex 2-7x35.

With this setup the objective clears the barrel by about 1/4". I think they say it is good for objectives up to 40mm, which seems correct.

I'm pretty happy with it. It's a very easy to use and clean solution with less screws to work their way loose, and it keeps my scope as close to the bore as possible.
