Makes a nice bench gun with the heavy scope, or a fast plinker with the VQ scope rail mounted backwards.

Here are my 4 rimfire rifles.  Top is my Ruger 10/22 I've had since I was a kid that has been constantly changing (though I do like how it currently sits a lot), the second 10/22 is the one I put together for my wife last year. (Lime or "Zombie" green is her favorite color)  The other two are pawn shop rescues: a Savage 63K single shot and a Savage/Springfield 120A single shot.  The 63K's sights are way off, the whole thing sits crooked in the stock, and it only ejects 4 out of 5 times.  I hope to get it fixed up nice.  The Springfield I haven't fired yet and it is missing the rear sight ladder. (ordered one from Numrich though)

So how close did the Elcan come to costing more than the rifle, can, and both tax stamps?

Haha. Nah. Can is faux (it's written in the photo description, but it will only appear if you click on it). So rifle barrel is actually 16" (HK pulls the barrel back in order to make it look like a 14.5 barrel and this is feasible because it's a Walther look-alike HK416 in .22LR).

Elcan is meant to go on my newly acquired Mk18 Ar15 Pistol, due tomorrow (background check 10 days over tomorrow - pickup day!).

I was just putting stuff on that .22 for fun

I like the hogue stock on that one too.  I can't stand the ruger cut out at the butt plate.  If you look at mine I put a sock in it and taped over it.  It just makes it awkward for me.

If you get a Hogue stock make sure you get the nylon over-molded stock, it is stiffer and not nearly as sticky. I actually sold that standard model and plan on replacing it with a RAR compact.

Sweet! My rifle is stainless, so I want the finish of the stock to compliment the SS finish.
