[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tape on your magazines

I was curious as to the brand and type of tape you use on your mags o differentiate ammo types. I'd like to see if there is something better than black electrical tape that leaves sticky crud on the mags when pulled offl or peals because of use or heat or age.

I use hockey tape. Nice and grippy, stays put.

You can also place the tape wherein it is concealed by the pouch, you don't HAVE to have a chest rig that looks like a Lifesavers candy tube :)

Blue painters tape. It comes off, just like you would expect.

I have used gaffers tape for home made ranger pull tabs. Eventually I have had some get sticky, but after something around ten years.
