I've been on the search since I started carrying daily in 2009 to find the perfect daily wear pants. Certain jeans I've found to be decent but I don't like wearing jeans every day.

Basically what I'm looking for is a non "tactical" looking pant (something I can wear daily and doesn't scream GUN!) that doesn't ride to low so I don't have to hike my pants up to put the belt in the appropriate position. This puts unneeded tension on my crotch and can be quite discomforting with certain pants. Also, normal civilian colors, not green, coyote and black.

I've tried everything from Kuhl, Levi, Vertx, 5.11 (Vertx and 5.11 too "tac" looking for every day) and Prana. So far, Vertx feels the best but as stated, they scream gun with the colors and look of the pants.

Any options I've missed?

I've been on the same search before.

I found Cinch White Label to be carry friendly and comfortable.

They aren't tough, though, and wear out quick. But I haven found anything that fits all the criteria.

Comfort is high on my list. I can always buy more when they wear out.

I'm a big fan of Eddie Bauer chinos and wrinkle-free khakis. They're a little sturdier than typical khakis and they are comfortable and look good to boot

They also dont look like what "gun guys" wear.

LAPG has them on closeout right now, so they're a good deal if you can find your size.

I like mountain khakis. They have several different styles to choose from. I, personally, like the original mountain pants and the Teton twill (I believe they're called). Comfortable and last forever.

Try Duluth Trading. They have a lot of options and their flex material is great. I've worn the heck out of mine for the past 5 years and they're still going strong.

I like Oakley pants and cargos actually. Give those a look.

Carharrt.  They make cargo pants too.  The cargo pants are just as durable as the regular ones, I do all my normal stuff like climbing, welding, cutting, and kneeling and they have held up.

They scream normal guy, possibly some sort of blue collar worker.  And they don't feel like skinny jeans (unlike 511), or ride like hip hugger fagpants.

They're just slacks; no gussets, side pockets, logos, nada.  About the only thing tactical about them is that they're tan.

Yep. Daily wear at work and they last forever. I like the pocket set up including the hidden one on the right side.

These are very comfortable pants, just hope you don't need a big boy size.

Vertx casual pants

You can't beat them for $15, I just got six more pair in yesterday.  I'll leave four in the package as spares for down the road.

Also consider what colors you pick.  Khaki and UDT black tend to stand out a lot.

It might be worth considering grey or other colors that are less popular with the tactical (or the foperator) groups.

I have the Zion and love them but they are not very sturdy for carrying a full size, more of a light weight, stretchy hiking pant.

I'll order a pair of the Brion, never heard of that style. Thanks.

I know you stated you already tried Kuhl.  Look into the Kuhl Dlux pant they are what I have settled on to fit what you described.   They are extremely comfortable and durable.  Mountain Kahki's are also pretty good to.

I love my Vertx pants, but as you described they scream tactical.
