Purchased what was listed as a BAE SDS RBAV-SF in Ranger Green on Ebay.

Wondering if I got the real thing.

This sticker was on the plastic bag it came in:

When I google the NSN number listed, 8470-01-518-6480, it links me to the following page stating the NSN is for a Eagle Ranger Green MARITIME Releasable Armor Carrier Size Small as seen here:
http://www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8470-01-518-6480

No lot # or Date of Manufacture on the Tag inside the Vest... though the sticker on the plastic bag says 06/10 on it.

Instruction manual that came with the vest

More pics of vest

I found a pretty good knock off being sold on the market... so it makes me question it. Not sure what to think. The knock off sells for more than the vest I bought. Lol.

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Combat_Gear_Vests_PANATC_MOLLE_RBV_Vest_Medium_Ranger_Green_CORDURA.htm

I did find this government liquidation video on Youtube though, which gives this vest at least the possibility of being legit:

Hoping I didn't get ripped off. Anyone who has any info, it would be appreciated.

If I did get ripped off, any way to dispute the sale through ebay if I didn't use paypal?

Thanks

P.S. Cross posting in GD to get more traffic.

looks exactly like mine, even the same booklet

Only thing i see is the bungee cords that hold the mags in the side pouches on mine are attached via velcro.

EDIT: Mine is actually a RBAV-AF not a SF so small differences are expected.

What about that makes you think it's fake?

Real.
And check your NSN search again, the NSN of your vest is listed as 8470-01-518-6480 not 8470-01-518-6482

ETA: 8470-01-518-6480 still points to the CIRAS in my searches, but it could have been re-assigned to the RBAV (the CIRAS NSN was issued in '04).

The listed contract number is correct: https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&tab=core&id=b9b82ba85220f9cad0869cde63ce2c97

Even after re-entering the correct NSN, it still doesn't say RBAV on that site.

http://www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8470-01-518-6480

However, when I check the official NSN site, it does list the RBAV with the MARITIME as well.

But it still lists the MAR-CIRAS on the same page.

Yep, you're right, see my edit above.

My bet is that the contract for the CIRAS was expired and the RBAV was brought in to replace it in the same capacity, so it took over the NSN.

The same guy who designed the CIRAS designed the RBAV. The RBAV is kinda' like the CIRAS 2.0 so it would make sense.
