I have tyr tactical plate carrier with a single row of  mag pouches and i am looking for a slim admin pouch to go on the chest area. I don't want it so big that it interferes with mag draws.

I was looking at the MSM combat admin but am unsure if it will be slim enough.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I have a Tactical Tailor Enhanced Admin Pouch above my mags and have no issue getting mags out of the pouch.

What do you want to put in it?

Yeah, what he said

The Endom SAF admin pouch found its way onto several of my plate carriers.  Small footprint and thin profile worked well.  Just big enough for some pens, compass and notecards.  A small rite in rain fit too.  The light pouch is big enough to fit a P229 mag.

Nowadays, I dont really need an admin pouch.  A couplw pens and mini chemlight fit in the built in pouch on my APC.  And since I run mags in a kangaroo pouch, it'd just be in the way anyway.

It's a little big but I index mags from the warbelt and not directly off the vest.
It's not a perfect solution  but it works well

MSM combat admin pouch is huge.

I have a first spear grid reference organizer / admin pouch I think it's got a pretty small footprint

Agreed. The MSM is very large and has no way to condense it down. I have the Marz admin with chem light slots and without the chem lights, it slims down very well. It closes with a velcro flap which draws it down nice and snug.

I second the Marz Tactical admin pouch. It is low profile and provides just the right amount of storage, for me anyway.

i had a first spear admin panel on my 6094a, but I finally decided it was too big and interfered with getting magazines from the kangaroo pouch.  just ordered an LBT-9034b.  This looks like a better option.

Yeah, that's the one I have. Love it. Perfect size for me, and lots of velcro.

^^ That's a good point. The Marz pouch has a tapered bottom which helps keep the magazines out in front.

Thanks for all the replies. I really like the look of the TT enhanced pouch bit I ended up going with the HSGI mini modular admin pouchlink

I went with this one because it is small and does not have many organizer slots and bands inside which will force me to only put essentials inside and to prevent overloading it. If it doesn't work I'll try the TT pouch.

Interesting; Haven't seen that one before.  Not long ago, LBT put on "sale" a small, fold-out Admin type of pouch intended to be affixed to the Velcro panel on the upper chest of their 6094 PC.  In use, it's very slim, and useful for some reference cards and so forth because it has some clear plastic sleeves for such inside.  Loops for a pen at the bottom, IIRC.  This:http://lbtinc.com/vest-h-gear-carriers/plate-carrier-accessories/grg-pouch-for-tactical-assault-front.html.

Or, just put a zipper on your kangaroo pouch, and stash stuff in there.  Talk about low profile:http://www.highgroundgear.com/products/zipper-insert-pouch

I've been looking to pick one of those up for awhile and try it out.  very cool, and surprised they're the only ones that make it.

I use the TT as well.  Pretty well.  I was worried about it inhibiting the mags but it doesn't.

Going in a totally different direction, I always like having my admin shit in a pouch behind my mags.  Currently I do it with everything in a WITR notebook in their zippered cover with a few chemlights taped to the back.  Pen, Pencil, sharpy, plus a couple of reference cards, and I've shoved in a pack of map markers too.  Currently I put this into the center chest pouch on the USGI TAP, but in the past I've just shoved it in the side of my cumberbund, or a cargo pocket with my map, or whatever.

It's about to change due to mission requirements, but I've been running a BFG admin pouch above my mags for a while and it's been perfectly fine." />

Another vote here. Surprisingly roomy but pretty low profile (without the chemlights). The tapered shape also encourages it to not get in the way of drawing mags.

My advice would be, unless you need one, don't wear one. I wore one during my deployment, because I used my maps/radio info in the pouch 99% more than I ever needed fast access to mags.

I still have a SAF on my old CIRAs.
It's probably still the lowest profile option out there as far as admins go.
Don't really remember snagging mags on it at all.

I tend to agree on the built in kangaroo admin pouches most lo-pro carriers have these days.
I run two JPCs and the kangaroo admins are just great. No snagging with reloads what so ever
and less bulk.

Only thing in the kangaroo is a RITR pad, pen, ears and a few batteries anyways.

Got the LBT-9034a this weekend.  Much lower profile than the last one.
