Anyone know where I can get a pouch to hold my galaxy s3 that has a belt loop and is oriented vertically with a flap with velcro closure to put the phone in and take it out of?

This is what I am looking for but the velcro on mine wore out

It's 2015 and these were ever in style when introduced in 2002.

I need one where the belt loop is sewn in to the pouch so that you have to pass the belt through the loop, rather than just slide it down onto the belt.

If the velcro being worn out is the only problem, can you not just get a new piece sewn on?

I've thought about that actually, I might try that.  Any g2g places to get velcro?  Both the hook and loop part and the other part.. I'm guessing they sell them together.  I'm going to google after I post this but if anyone has suggestions that'd be nice too

You should be able to find this at Wal-Mart or any hobby store. It will have both sides (hook and loop). Just make sure you get the sew on stuff and NOT the adhesive stuff.

Just take it to a shoe repair place, or if you've got a military base nearby, there's always a sew shop outside the main gate. If it's an AFB, there's a good chance it'll be the type of place that makes kneeboards and such and will have the machinery to sew heavy fabrics that are several layers thick.

I found one at the surplus store, I think its a mag pouch, has 2 molle strips on the back, also had a plastic clip and strap on front which I cut off.  It's black, durable, and doesnt really look overly tactical. It is a little large, but an iphone 4 with otterbox fits perfectly.

I've been using the Hazard 4 Big Koala. Nice padding and the molle straps on the back can be configured into "smaller" belt loops.

Those are also kinda huge.

ETA: If you're throwing looks out the window and want something big, the maxpedition M2 waistpacks work well. Just don't expect to get laid wearing one. http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/M-2-WAISTPACK-70p152.htm

I use an hsgi belt mounted taco to hold my S5.  The S3 isnt much smaller so it will work, plus its a mag holder when you need it to be.
