Not really the same.  If you have nothing to contribute, don't post.

I like that OSOE micro rig, thinking of setting one up to go with my stock WASR so I'll have a light grab n' go rig.  Any thoughts on a mini MAV?

Chest rigs don't carry plates. If someone posted a chest rig in that thread someone would have a hissy fit.

Extreme Gear Labs VOCR. I usually keep an izzy in one of the bungee pouches but have been experimenting with a small bok with my food sealer so it's not pictured. The little pouch I keep empty for whatever I need to stuff into it. For hiking I have a emergency blanket and mini survival kit that fits in there nicely.

That is cool as hell. I'd get some tacos and some 20 rounders or some pistol tacos for a subgun rig.  Going to have to try that.

I'm puttin' you on the spot, brother...but since you have both - and at the risk of admonishment from all the SOE/JW haters - can you give a comparison stitch for stitch on ATS vs. SOE? I have a shit ton of SOE gear and I know it is 100% bombproof - but I am and have been curious about the quality of the ATS offerings. Is it even in the same ballpark as SOE? Is it reliable? The price point is outstanding and the gear actually looks well thought out, and I see a lot of folks using it with no complaints. That said, I have a few Condor pouches that have never let me down, either.

I know my wife wants her own setup....but I got my SOE stuff back when I was working in Iraq and Afghanistan, so the cost was justified. Not saying my wife is worth any less, but she won't be using it every day, either.

Short answer: Buy with confidence.
The material is the same. The stitching (what really counts) looks identical on the pieces I have.
I am not a soldier. I have taken a few classes and I do roll my shit in the dirt when I practice.
I have destroyed cheap Chinese gear both at my work and in training.
I have not had ATS or OSOE (or TT, Specter, SpecOps, or HSGI for that matter) become unserviceable because of stitching or fabric failure.

Here is my previous one.

I ended up selling this one because I ended up with a Mayflower rig in trade for another piece of gear.  I really liked it.  It was great for general use.  Only problem I had with it was that it couldn't really be expanded if you wanted to add anything else to it.  That's why I had those two pouches on the back of the hydration carrier.  One had some general survival stuff in it (couple energy bars, water purifier tablets, lighter, etc.).  The other larger one was just there for sticking anything else that might be needed in.

He had a post removed the other day for posting links to his ebay adds when people where asking questions about buying gear.  Look at the "R.A.C.K chest rig " thread started by wolfy1.  Second post in the thread was him trying to sell stuff from ebay.  Mods removed it and put their own message in there.
