If I'm using 10x12" steel level III plates (from AR500), what sized JPC will I need?

What if I'm using plate backers?

Thanks.

Can you elaborate on the fit at all?
As I understand it, the JPC uses stretch-woven fabric to keep the plate pocket very low profile and hug the plate.  How does that compare to say, something like the Mayflower APC or an Eagle plate carrier?

It will be a much "tighter" fit, for sure

Medium.

I have a large JPC and Medium Pig BRIG. The 10x12 AR500 I have are a very tight fit in the Medium size BRIG and are loose in the Large JPC. They will be snug in the medium JPC but tighter is better than looser.

So which is it?

Any pics to illustrate would be greatly appreciated.

Get the medium.

I don't have great pics because I just sold the AR500 to fund some good ceramic plates, but here are 10x12AR500 in a Medium Pig Brig (same size as Crye JPC medium) It is a tight fit but a great fit. Before I sold the AR500 I slid them in the JPC, and they were loose.

Best Pic I have:

That's a pretty slick rig.

Thanks. I will say the ar500 plates didn't fit well into the airlite PC.

I love the JPC, more so after I modded it.

I can't tell from the pics, how did you mod the JPC?

I used kywi inserts in the built in mag pouch and sewed dividers in between them. Can now get my mags a lot easier and replace them with ease. Small mod. Big results.

Interesting.

I thought about doing something similar;  cutting out the dividers and having the inside lined with hook and loop.  That way I could use Mayflower 7.62 double or 5.56 triple inserts.

Do you think that would work?
