What kind of extras do you put in your chest rig's general purpose pouches?

Spare batteries

Small compass
Cleaning rod section and broken shell extractor
Black sharpie
Ear plugs
VS17 panel piece
Gorilla tape 1 inch roll

powder Gatorade

ipod touch

maybe a dirty magazine or swat, maxim

baby wipes

tampons

batteries

rhino

camera

writing material

cash, can get you out of trouble

chap stick of course

and lube, don't be caught without it, you'll wish you thought of it, makes thing go a lot easier
I once tried to use lotion and she said NO Way,

Maybe a little camel back hawg to carry that shit in since you have to take water but it fits in your vest

In my chestrig? ***EDIT** this is the 'map pouch' I think they're called.......the one that goes the length of the back of thr chestrig.

My GP pouch is a TT E&E horizontal pouch

it's a vest
all this stuff goes in a saw type pouch on ea side appox at 3 and 9 o'clock

had a map pouch inside vest which carried my reading material/magazine

oh the 1k for the saw

well one drum was on the weapon
2 drums in one of those jacket like pouches that go under your ruck which had a strap and flung it on my shoulder

2nd small jacket pouch had another 2 drums which went inside a back pack,
m4 disassembled/unmarried with barrel sticking out of the back pack bout 5in with dust cap on

Yes I was dying, but not as bad as the 240 gunner, and he wasn't even carrying but 200rds 3others had 100rds for him ea

Weight wise it was tough, team leader didn't want to help carry stuff, retard only carried 6 mags
2 radio guys, couldn't put more on them
2 medics one was loaded to high fuck, cause the other was a girl. To top it off she was a girly girl

Thanks guys. I've been fighting the weight vs need demon on my new set up and sometimes reading the thoughts of others helps.

I think I have it shaved down to what I consider essentials while still having some nice to haves.

Now I have to get out and run it a few more times.

4 chem lights, small roll of E-tape, Surefire ear pro, duct tape wrapped around a hotel key card, and a few yards of 550. I also carry a sharpie, camera, flashlight, etc but not in the pouch.
