Ive dropped a few pounds and need some new pants. These will be used 99% of the time for 3 gun and USPSA matches.

I currently have a few pairs of the Taclite series, and I like them a lot. Ill either be ordering those again, or the new Stryke pants. Anyone have a comparison of the 2, and which do you prefer?

ETA: Im also looking for suggestions for anything I may not have considered yet. Has to be durable, comfortable and I refuse to spend $150 on them.

I like their Tactical TDU pants. I need to get another pair, as the ones I have are tight in the thigh region, but, other than that, they rock. I have not used the models you referred to, however.

I prefer the Tru Spec 24-7 pants over anythign 5.11 has. They are lighter weight and fit me better (32/34) and they are only $30.00 a pair at Ops Gear right now.

I got rid of my 5.11s and stuck with these. Most comfortable by far, and I can actually use the cellphone pockets. Plus the internal dividers are awesome for everything else.

Thanks for letting me know about these. Just ordered 2 pairs from opsgear. I'll give them a shot, but hope I like them as much as everyone else seems to. Thanks again.

Got two more pair from the USPS man today. I've had my original pairs for just under two years and still looking good. I hope you like them.

I would do the tru spec or la police gear before the 5.11s. The pairs that I have had have faded and torn with just moderate civilian use no matches or anything. Tru spec is our swat issues and work great.

I received a pair of the 5.11 stryke pants this past Christmas. I like them a lot. They are comfortable, have tons of pockets - the cargo pockets have internal dividers that will hold AR mags or a cellphone and keep it from flopping around in the pocket).

They look decent enough to get away with for casual wear, and so far, are holding up well.

Haven't tried the Tru-Spec pants - at the local Army/Navy and Police Supply stores, the Tru-Spec pants they have are the BDU type and the material seems pretty tough but not comfortable.

Mascot Lerida these have kevlar knee pockets for pads.
You wont find a better pair of "tactical" pants.
I have 3 pairs of pants from Repcon NW and they are awesome folks to buy from. - Ask for Chris
- 2 of the Lindos Like These I love the holster pockets. Fill them up with shot shells or use them as built in dump pouches.
Super comfortable and very tough pants. Plus you can wear them to work .

The pants are nice but they are a little hot. I prefer the LAPD pants myself because they're a bit cooler and have the front slit pockets. However, the woolrich pants seem like they can take a bit more abuse.

If you're looking for something lightweight for competition shootingTruSpec pants $29.99 pants or the Eotac tactical pants are less than $30 also

I don't know if you use the knee pad inserts for your 5.11 pants but Woolrich and Eotac both take the same ones.

5.11 still makes some good stuff but about 75% of the people that I talk to were Tru-Spec, Woolrich or Vertx now. Big differences in prices between them.
