Most of this is pretty obvious. :p The rear/back of the pack has a zippered compartment for holding one handgun. There is a thin, removeable, belt. I'm not sure what the odd "D Fit" shoulder strap attachments are for. There is a thin plastic sheet sewn into the back of the bag. The top of the bag has a zippered, felt lined compartment for sunglasses or electronic devices The compartment closest to the back of the pack is a padded laptop compartment. The zipper doesn't open all that far on that compartment. You could also use it for a full size hydration bladder. The next compartment from the back has the strap and molle spaced loops for attaching a holster and magazines, or whatever else will fit. There is a elastic pouch below that and on the opposite side, toward the "front' is another zippered pouch sized for something like glasses, or lights, spare batteries etc. The next compartment has the admin slots and another small zippered pouch on the opposite side, this has a mesh window so you can see what's inside the pouch. The pouch travels all the way to the bottom of the pack, like the previous two pouches. it's deeper than most other camelbak admin pouches. The last compartment in the "front" is a beaver tail that closes with a flap that is sealed with velcro. There is another pistol pouch that will accept a velcro holster on the "back" side of the beavertail pouch. It held a winter softshell pretty easily. The outside/front section of the beavertail pouch is padded. not sure why. Maybe to protect a pistol? I'd be curious to know if the regular urban assault is padded there. I would assume so. There is a small leatherish loop at the bottom that I guess you could hang a clip off of, I wouldn't really want anything clipped that low on the pack. I didn't photograph the bottom but there's no loops or anything on the bottom. There are two bottle pouches on the sides that will accept bottles or one of the small camelbak bladders, like the one they include. there are fairly loops in there and in the pistol compartment on the rear back of the pack. |

I wish you had warned me to wear my sunglasses first.
ETA: OK, wise guy, I see you edited the thread title. Maybe my eyes will stop bleeding someday, but my monitor sure isn't going to fix itself. |

In second pic from top, there is a small, black, rectangular sewn-in tag with letters "U.A.C." on it. What's that about? Same folks that imported Taiwanese Glock clone?
The small CamelBak bladder is what––1 liter? Hydrolink (detachable hose/mouthpiece) fittings on bladder? Is such a small bladder any more useful than a presumably more durable bottle of similar capacity? |

Pure genius, who would ever expect a neon pink backpack to be a repository for handguns.

I would guess the little one liter bladder lets you drink while moving without stopping blah blah. I haven't used it yet but have used larger bladders for years and prefer them over bottles. To each his own, I guess. UAC is the name of the pack, camelbak sews that on each pack for some reason. |

This is the US. We don't need a damn license...
It's called Freedom! . Wait! I missed this in your title. >> LEO and MIL use only!
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!? |

The Park Service will probably confiscate that pack if the woods are real dry. Good news is that you'll never accidentally be shot from behind by a hunter while wearing that thing. Bad news is that you might be shot from behind on purpose. |

Cool bag and an interesting concept. I like it but I just can't buy something that is designed to blend in to normal settings. The mil/Leo only is kinda funny too!

The only "normal" setting that pack will blend into is high noon on Mars. Seriously, though, and all ribbing of Aimless about the color aside, Camelbak makes pretty good stuff from what I've seen and heard. That said, the idea of not offering this pack to the gen'l public is about as bright as the long-dead Bill Ruger's ideas on large-cap magazines. Ruger, Inc has come around, maybe Camelbak will see the light eventually. |
|
in their youtube video they say they offer it in 4 colors so 4 LEOs can be on the street together and not look like they are together...
except this is a very obvious design to have 4 of them on a street corner and not look suspicious honestly, i really cant believe its only MIL/LEO. what military dude is carrying this thing anyway. and there are plenty of other CCW backpack options out there that i DONT have to show credentials for. |

You don't need to have the proper security clearance to buy it either. |

You got somewhere else? I don't care for Botach but I have to admit they gave me no problems over this order. I do wonder whether Camelbak might shut off places violating this rule |

"Please Note: The CamelBak UAC is available only to law enforcement agencies & officers, US Military, security companies, federal agencies, US government contractors and their employees." |

I don't hold with lying.
Don't do it myself, and don't tolerate it amongst other folks. If you want to go to some other Site, misrepresent yourself, and come back here to brag about it, you might be within CoC, but you will certainly have branded yourself as a liar. I don't mind mistakes, but lying is another thing. |

It's simply a ploy by Camelbak to build value with LEOs who would ordinarily opt for something less expensive. Everybody likes to believe they belong to an exclusive club, or can get something their neighbor can't.
Completely recockulous LEO/Mil only rule simply means I refuse to buy it, and may consider skipping all Camelbak products. |

And, who hasn't told a fib at least once in their life? So he added some fake security info on an order form in order to purchase a backpack from a company with a well-known reputation for questionable business practices. I don't see what the big deal is. Besides, having to stare at that eye-searing red color all day, shouldn't that be punishment enough? |
