these guys have a pretty cool cummerbund that uses tubes, so you don't have to lift the chest rig every time you want to take the pc on or off. The fact that you didn't already have a cummerbund makes the price a little easier to accept.

Thanks.
Like I said, you don't have to lift your chest rig every time you don or doff your PC.

If you've used this stuff in the military or whatever (even airsoft), you'd conclude that it's annoying to have to constantly try to get your cummerbund just right on both sides when putting it on. It typically goes like this:

Throw on PC. Lift up front flap (chest rig/mag placard, etc). Hold it up with one hand while bringing other side cummerbund around to velcro to front.

Velcro one side. Wait. Too tight. *tear velcro* Readjust. Too loose. *tear velcro* All right, there it is.

Switch hands. Hold up placard, try a few times to get the other side of the cummerbund just right.

Press placard/flap down to secure cummerbund velcro.

Done.

To remove, its: *tear velcro* lift up flap. *tear velcro* remove one side. Switch hands. *tear velcro* other side. Remove.

Done.

Not great, not terrible.

With tubes, its like this:

Throw on PC. Clip one side into tubes. Clip other side into tubes.

Done.

Removal is: unclip one side. Unclip other side. Remove.

Done.

Your cummerbund is always the correct length. Your front flap just stays in place always. This is even more convenient when you have other stuff velcro'd behind it, like a dangler pouch or tourniquets or side radio flaps, etc. Whenever you lift your flap with those, either they stay velcro'd to the PC or they come with the flap, etc.

Again, it's not the end of the world, but if you're buying a cummerbund from scratch anyway, why not get one with tubes and just eliminate all these minor inconveniences?

After speaking to LBT I ordered a 6094 in Large and plan to run RMA 1155s. The large carrier can be adjusted internally to snug up a set of 10x12s. Should have my hands on the whole setup by the end of next week.

This is going to leave you with a lot of excess material and overall loose fit on the plates. The 6094 is a relatively loose fitting plate carrier as compared to others like the JPC. The 6094A (Medium) offers enough room to fit most 10x12 plates, and overhangs an inch under the plate with 10x12s installed. A 6094B (large) will overhang both the sides and bottom of the plate considerably. If possible, I would contact LBT and try to size down before they send out the carrier.

I got my LBT 6094B in and while I think the plate area is proper size and I wouldn’t want it any bigger,  I could use a little bit larger cumberbund. At least until I get back in shape. What’s a good XL cumberbund that will work with the 6094? I see the one Shellback makes and for $60 I may just try it.

It has come to my attention that while my GGG minimalist carrier was fine for my needs/wants when I picked it up, I need something more substantial.

I do not need a new carrier, but I need some options for mounting comms. I have seen several people run a radio pouch on their cumberbund, but the minimalist does not have one. The mayflower universal seems like it will not work on the minimalist since there is no velcro flap. Has anyone found an option that can attach a universal cumberbund to a carrier that has molle front and back, but no velcro?

I am not sure if the one posted above would work or not. I appreciate the help.

What's the verdict on mixing SAPI and shooter cut plates - e.g. would it be ill-advised to run a 10x12 shooter front and medium SAPI rear? My searching has brought up mixed responses.

What's the particular cummerbund setup you ordered? I looked on their website and they have a ton of options, but yours looks pretty slick. I'm looking for a FS tube setup like yours on my JPC 2.0. Also, how does the cummerbund attach to the rear plate bag?

LV119 Overt. I'm hunting for a micro fight now, who knows how long that'll take.  Ordered some hesco plates, waiting on those too.

Anyone suggest a good IFAK or CAT TQ holder for the molle tube setup for my left side?  It was the only option I could find out there, probably would have gotten the elastic if I could have.

Looks like a Blue Force to me as well.  They are actually pretty nice.  I have a handful that I have attached to quite a few different things with PALS webbing.

I also have a somewhat enclosed Chinook that is really nice and they are only $16.50.

thats what I thought, was considering it for my setup also but wasn't sure how secure it would be on the molle cummerbund straps.

HammerForged, what medical kit is that?

I want to add a medical kit to my PC under the mags, but my carrier’s front panel wraps around the bottom to secure itself. How are you all attaching medical pouches without adding a cumberbund?

@LibertyPilgrim

it's not bad, decent little system and has a tear away velcro design so the bulk to if, sans shears, can be pulled off as a unit.  I dont think I'd buy their plates but this is decent kit. I still might downsize to just TQ/chest seals, dunno.

decent overview by twangandbang here.

A belt-mounted or fanny pack style IFAK might work best with that plate carrier.  If you go fanny pack, it remains functional in a variety of situations and not tied to the PC.

It's a Spiritus Systems Fanny pack. Hard to find their stuff in stock at the moment, but any quality company would work fine. I just added red zipper pulls and made the cross with contractors tape.
