I have the wtf hydro panel on mine. Does what it's supposed to do. My biggest issue is that it doesn't have a hanger for a bladder in it and I had to rig one up. Not really an issue, just a weird thing to omit on a hydro carrier

Thank you for your reply. Can you show me a photo of the WTF hydro panel and how you rigged it? I'd greatly appreciate it as there isn't much out there for me to see.

So I should correct myself-this isn't a modification so much as a ghetto rig

Wore my gear yesterday to a rifle/pistol class. The esstac daedon with rma 1155 plates was bearable for the 3 hours I wore it. It never felt like it was too heavy for me. One thing I am planning on changing out is the single curve plates for some multi curve plates, but besides that, all went well training in my gear.

ETA: looking at this pic, I think I have my rear plate too low on my back.

Wore my Daeodon for two ten hour days. No issues. Is very comfortable.

Does anyone know of a 3 mag pouch that would fit under the Velcro flaps up front and collapse nearly flat when empty and not protrude above or below the Velcro?

The velcro flaps of what? A cummerbund?

Blue Force makes mag pouches that are damn near flat when unused, I have one on the cummerbund that usually sits empty as it adds no meaningful weight or bulk to the setup.

BFG has you covered on the flat aspect but they're meant to be run through molle, not velcro. If you had a means of securing velcro to both sides of it, you'd be cookin.

Way back when, I  was between a slickster and a Peroz. I ended up going with ferro because I just couldn't fully like how pouches sat on the Peroz cbun. But it's still some really good Canadian kit and I have a few other of his products

I'm probably going to get a molle tubes cummerbund from A&A but I might just keep this one as a stripped down setup. I haven't attached anything to the cummerbund yet but I definitely see what you're saying.

On the left: Crye JPC 2.0 with ESAPI plates and Ceradyne side plates

On the right: Eagle MBAV with built in soft armor, Bulletproofme level 4 ICW ceramic rifle plates and level 4 ceramic side plates

That's a hell of a weight difference.
Link Posted: 10/3/2021 10:11:31 PM EDT

It really is, and the Bulletproofme plates are supposed to be lighter since they are ICW

The MBAV is pretty heavy by itself, the soft armor panels are very thick

In hindsight I should have ordered their ESAPI plates but they cost a lot more, the Eagle is a backup carrier that I keep in the truck for impromptu shooting sessions so I’m fine with a little extra weight

@ecgRN

What dump pouch are you running?  My shooting buddy is looking for a dump pouch that would double as a water bottle holder.

@JASIRR

The one you can see in the pic is a maxpedition mini-rolly-poly. Holds a bottle or three 30 rounders. T-Rex arms is the dump pouch I use for bigger things.

I'm a simple guy. Mayflower APC with Kywi inserts in the Mayflower kangaroo pouch insert. I swapped out the shoulder pads for the thinner SKD pads. It has ESAPIs in it at the moment but I also use L210s and Highcom 4sas7 depending on if it is work related or just personal training.

About to pull the trigger on a Daeodon - L, to replace my JPC2. Any suggestions on what cummerbund to use? I would prefer something with tubes. Should I go elastic or a skeletal one like the JPC has?

I am leaning towards the elastic ones since it will be able to stretch more if I am wearing more layers.

I like the skeletal cummerbund with tubes on my Daedon. If I remember correctly the daedon comes with an elastic piece with hooks for the back that you hook your cummerbund into. I’m not sure how much stretch they allow though.

I have these. Poly coatings are geared towards carriers such as the spc where the plate is exposed. BUT they don't have to onlybe for those. Mine are in an lv119. I was debating between these and 3810's but it wasn't worth $200 additional for the .4lbs I'd be saving with them.

Honestly I completely forgot the ROC cummerbund was a tube setup

Hearing great things about how comfy the K19 is, and I like how easily adjustable the cummerbund is adjustable on that, wish it didn't have the shoulder releases.

You can always get the K5 and put your own quick release cummerbund on it. I have not shot with my k19 yet but I didn't find it to awkward shouldering an AR if you don't extend the stock all the way.

@JRBilt their ROC cummerbund is a tube setup. Not the the same as the First Spear (IIRC) tubes, but similar.
