THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT If there is none, I will post mine up and start one- or does anyone know where it went? I coulda sworn I've seen one? ETA: Not talking about chest rigs, or 'gear' in general. I'm talking about strictly plate carriers. ETA2: One other person can't find one either; so that must mean this is none! THIS IS NOW A PLATE CARRIER THREAD! 末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末末 Please BE SURE to post specs if you join in! Including Plates inside! With chest rig attached:
Chest rig detached:
Velocity Systems LWPC in MC with two triple-curve plates by RMR tactical inside. Chest rig is clipped on using the Velocity Systems 'Swift Clip' Attachment system. Chest rig is a TT mini-mav with a triple mag shingle, and two modded Eagle FB pistol mag pouches on each side (modded to fit double stack glock mags). Pouch in front is a MSM Admin pouch. I LOVE this PC because I can not only have a chest rig attached, but also use it under clothing as a low-pro carrier. |

We need one of these...I like the general gear threads but I am constantly searching through pages and pages without seeing a good plate carrier set up. Lets start one.

'Pants -
Since you've been using it since 07, I'm sure its not bad for you but I was wondering how much everything stood out when you loaded mags into the 'satch and then had an IFAK on front. Is it noticeble bulk? Do you not use the end pouches? Does it make maneuvering difficult? I've been running one for the last year, but just put small stuff up front. I might have to try the IFAK on front though. |

To the people with those hsgi tacos:
Would the shock cord last? I just keep thinking the elastic would give out when I don't want it to. The kydex and cordura seem durable though. Thanks. |

Thanks. its tough shock cord, and i dont ever see it wearing out. on the off chance that it does break, id bet it would break due to getting snagged somehow and getting cut. if it does, thats why theres extra on the pouches. you can tie it back together and still use the pouches until your mission is over or you get back home. |

I got a Waholster when they were still available, it can be placed in the pockets at any angle and never had any issues with retainability. I really didn't need more than six mags on me, and the pistol was mostly just for show when dealing with the village and town leaders. Yeah, I actually used one as a secondary med pouch, with some gauze and an Israeli bandage. |

Bump. Dont let this fall to far. Great pictures so far. Although, if some of you could post the specs of your kit that would be great for people that are looking to upgrade or build an entirely new carrier.
