If there were tubes in them, they'd be AVS-6(v)3s.  Right now, they're paperweights.

The mount is just a standard aviation mount with an adapter plate to interface with the common "Universal" or "USGI" shroud interface.

They're real, just not completed, just saving up money to get a pair of tubes to put in the housings.

So, my old gear served me well for the past 10 years overseas and in training, and it was time to update. Not quite done yet, still need a few more items, but close enough.

http://40mmdesign.com/personal/gearupdate2.jpg

Crye JPC v1

  • ESAPI Plates
  • Crye MBITR Pouches (w/ HT1550, but have my dual PTTs for MBITRs, two mags on opposite side.)
  • TT Accessory Pouch 1V, (w/ Blackhawk Gladius flashlight, GPS, Little bottle of lube, Notepad, Pens.)
  • TT Smoke pouch
  • Custom Horizontal TQ Pouch, Jason Crosby Special - Low profile, very slightly impedes mag changes. Figure it will take a couple range trips to tweak.

http://40mmdesign.com/personal/gearupdate3.jpg

Velocity Operator Utility Belt

  • ATS War Belt Insert Belt (Inner belt)
  • Old, unknown double pistol pouch
  • HSGI Taco
  • Velocity Micro Diddie Pouch (I LOVE this thing. Just wish it were a little easier to roll back up wearing all my shit.)
  • HSGI Bleeder Pouch (Actually won that during a HSGI giveaway when the pouch first came out.)
  • HSGI Drop Leg (That's my 10 year old one thats been overseas a few times. Had the snot beat out of it and really no worse for the wear.)

Didn't grab my lid, as I didn't feel like going out to the garage.

Still need to acquire: (Need to finish selling my old gear on the EE first, but nobody buys UCP gear anymore...)
  • AWS Assault Pack or SORD Hydration Helmet Carrier.
  • MR SATL
  • Safariland 3280 Military Mid-Ride Holster
  • Maybe some shoulder pads for the JPC.

Funny story about the IR flag on the accessory pouch...Was on Camp Rustamiyah in Baghdad in 2006. (Got to live there for a few months before we moved out to FOB Shield, then an Iraqi Police Station for the last 9 months of the deployment.) Had rolled in from mission, laid down in our hootch, and drifted off (in a span of like 10 minutes.) Heard a mortar come in, but it was a few hundred yards off, so fuckit....roll over, pull armor up over me, go back to sleep....next one hit the top edge of the T-wall outside my hootch. Thumb size piece of shrapnel centerpunched the flag on my DAPS (which was connected to the armor laying on me), but didn't penetrate the soft armor of the DAPS. Gave me the slightest bruise. My roommate caught a hunk over his kidney but was fine after a couple week heal.

Worst part was another piece of shrapnel centerpunched my goddamn brand fucking new XBox 360. I called Microsoft, wondering about warranty. The lady went and talked to her supervisor, somewhat aghast once I explained the story of how hadji had blown up my two day old goddamn brand fucking new Xbox. (The old one had injested too much moon dust and died a horrible death of the magic smoke escaping.) She came back 10 minutes later, and (extremely regretfully, poor lady sounded on the verge of tears) informed me that war damage was not covered by the warranty, and there was nothing she could do. Oh well.

Sorry for shitty pictures taken with cell phone.

Spending lots of time in the hills binos are a must just like a range finder and the ballistic kestrel. So with this set up I can carry all of that plus everything else I need. Works very well for precision stuff cause ya can still prone out and be comfortable.

has a pack on the back thats super handy for water, snacks whatever ya need.

the side panels zipper on and off if you dont need them.

Orion design group ARC is the majority of the gear, the range finder pouch and mag pouch I got from grey group. There's a few different models and ways to set up the ARC

The WindLiner has a loose fit to layer over your combat shirt. The LWF has an extremely slim fit. Acts great as a Level 3. The FieldShell 2 is a little looser but was designed to layer over the LWF and Loft Jacket. Works great as a Level 5. It's by far my favorite jacket I've ever owned.

I got some cool new stuff from Emdom the other day.

Multitool pouch designed specifically for the multitasker series 3 AR tools, the cool part about it is the multitasker tip kit fits in the little front pocket on the pouch. Pouch seems to be well made, stitching looks good and it is lightweight. I havent messed with it much yet but it seems if you have one of these tools this pouch would perfect fit for it.

Emdom universal rig sling, I've always used two points but I wanted to try this.

Last but not least is the vehicle hydration carrier, I've been looking for a 2L hydro carrier that has a little extra storage for stupid stuff like batteries or toilet paper etc. I wanted something that would not hang lower than the platebags. The VHC is designed this way for guys who spend alot of time in vehicles, but it  seems to serve my need perfectly as well.

This pic also shows how URS sling loops over your support side shoulder and loops onto the back or shoulder of your pc.

It's not 100% yet, but close.  My pals skills need to improve dramatically, but pouches go on just fine, little ugly on the stitching up front. is all  Need to cut some kydex for the map table and add the straps.  The back panel is a 100oz carrier instead of just a flat panel.

Cool! Looks like an oversized HPG Kitbag, which I find incredibly useful. Nice work dude.

I was going for a halfway point between that and a HSGI warlord.  The map table was my biggest must have.  I'm going to start all over around Christmas and try to improve on it.

JPC with ATS IFAK insert and Esstac KYWI in the cummerbund. The idea is to stay slick and streamlined.

Callsign is from back when I was less-than-cool playing airsoft. Airsoft did have me handling an AR platform for 5 years, though. My parents didn't have guns, so those 5 years are valuable to me now. Plus it got me into good gear once I decided that I had a legitimate need to secure my liberty. 6mm pellets didn't do it.

Since I have Level III AR500 plates and no cushioning, I thought I'd fashion some cushioning out of pipe insulation from Lowe's.

Also, here's a custom chest rig I traded for, made by Apto Gear.

Did a double take, as I realized I've seen this picture before. Excellent taste in kit. Hoping to get some MOHOCs in for T&E soon.

First off, sorry about the horrible potato pics. For some reason, the image host site made them look terrible.Nothing special. Just a basic Plate carrier and battle belt built with a very tight budget. Carrier is a Diamondback UTOC with level 4 tripple curve ceramics. 3a soft armor on the shoulder pads and 3a curved steel side plates with trauma pads, I want to ditch the steel sides and get some ceramics or something to replace them. IFAKs, extra med gear, batteries and a few other necessities in the right side pouches. Also have extra quick clot, and gloves in the front admin pouch that's integral to the UTOC. Hydration bladder pouch on the back, need to get a Camelback bladder. Blade tech holster for the G17 and TLR-1. I Added a leg strap to the holster, so it doesn't move at all. It may not be very "High Speed" compared to the awesome gear some of yall have, but it works quite well and I was able to put it together with a tight budget.
