The retention is finicky, i have them cranked down . The middle mag is a bit harder to get out but 1 and 3 are a bit smoother. I had one go flying out during a foot pursuit a while back so i tightened the screws down. I've though about going to the double safariland pouch and adding factory plus base plates but i having another pistol reload is a must for me. To answer the question about my cuffs being stacked. It's just a Velcro no name radio holder. The main strap that goes around my radio is the same size as my belt, so i slipped the cuffs on there. Alright, finally got a chance to get my gear out and get a pic. Waiting on my plates to arrive from the mail man to round it out.
Nothing fancy, just enough to stop some holes, plug one or two, and make a bunch.  Grey Ghost Minimalist Plate Carrier Targetman Spartan Armor Plates (Mail man come soon!) HSGI 2XR Taco 2x HSGI Double Decker Taco HSGI War Belt HSGI Cobra Inner Belt HSGI Pistol Taco HSGI Double Decker Taco TT rollup dump pouch Mini IFAK Leatherman MUT Springfield XDM 3.8 in a custom holster from a member here on an RTI wheel Nice and simple. I will more than likely move my leatherman pouch off the belt, or further over and go from that cheap IFAK pouch to a more well designed one. But, for now it works. |

If i was shooting competition i would go with a different set-up, but i'm not. Safariland makes a nice double slim line pouch too, that could be an option. I carried a spare mag in my front pocket for a while before i got the triple. Like i said, I might not always be able to get to my rifle so a third magazine is nice. |

I picked mine up for under 25 bucks on amazon with prime. Worth a look. I did see some kydex tripe and quad pouches around, but i'll have to look for them. |

My humble Civie gear. 1st line is my EDC the m&p 9 tlr-1 in Bravo Concealment holster, 2 spare mags for m&p in bravo concealment mag pouch, the Izula, crkt folder, and klarus xt-10. All on SOE edc belt. I have a spare Dark Angel med pouch with medical insert, trauma shears, and Cat tourniquet that I can throw on my belt if needed. 2nd line is to augment my EDC. It consists of SOE micro rig 4x ar mags and IFAK, 2 chem lights, sharpie, mechanix gloves, peltor tac 6-s ear pro. (may get myself an H harness for christmas as the X harness kills my neck if I wear it for over an hour.) 3rd line kifaru escape & evade with softshell jacket, bore snake, poncho liner, 2 spare AR mags, source 1l bladder not pictured, Spare batteries for all 3 lights and ear pro. ( little pack is built like a tank. highly recommend) AR is a generic colt 6920 with vortex pst 1-4x, KAC RAS, and VTAC sling. |

I'll post my full setup once my D.A.R.K. gets here, but in the meantime I just finished the exterior of my bucket. Not like I'll ever really use any of this stuff, but it's fun to pretend that I'm cooler than I actually am.
Gentex ACH with a Revision helmet cover, Ops Core ARC rails, 2X S&S precision V-lites, OSOE NSW Helmet Ballast w/MS-2000 and a Wilcox hybrid shroud. I don't have any NV and won't for a long time (I'm just a poor E-4) but I like setting it up as if wearing NODS was a possibility. Oh, and before anyone asks, that long pink thing is a dog toy, not....something else. |

How is/was the fit getting it on? ~Augee The Revision cover is very high quality and was very simple to put on. It fits the helmet (size L in my case) perfectly and has shock cord in the band that you can tighten down and tie off, then tuck behind the back pad. Also having experience with FS helmet covers, I'd say they're both equal in build quality. Imo it comes down to if you're using ARC rails or not. The velcro on the FS would be half covered by the rails whereas Revision took care to put the velcro high enough to not be a problem. As for holes, the NVG hole is already there (if you're using a one hole shroud), but I had to cut through the mesh to install the rails. Very simple to do though. One "link" being cut was enough to fit the screws. I'm very happy with it. |

They're great for a standard plate carrier, but if you use soft kevlar inserts along with plates, storing in that position for long periods can cause the soft armor to bunch up in the bottom of the pockets. Happened with IOTVs fairly often. But again, just plates, no problem. |

It's standard (at least in the Air Force) to "rack safe" weapons before storing them, so maybe that's what he did.
