California Legal XTR-12 Shotgun is a Rugged Tactical Magazine fed Semi-Auto shotgun on the AR style platform. , This model is designed to meet the current CA DOJ laws regarding shotguns with detachable mags . The XTR has a fixed magazine and you must pull the rear take down pin in order to load or release the mag . If you are looking for a well balanced Rock Solid mag fed shotgun this is the one for you . The XTR has the familiar AR15/AR10 Ergonomics and is easy to pick up and use with out the learning curve of a new design .

You have to do what to load the magazine? I'm sure those will sell like hotcakes at $900 a piece.

You simply pull the laynard on the rear pin , This opens the action and then you can release the mag to load.

A non-CA compliant model would be nice, but I can't imagine even a Californian wanting something that renders the weapon nonfunctional while reloading. It looks like reloading in a high stress situation would be a nightmare especially after just 5 shells. How could this possibly be more effective than a regular pump 590 or 870? Don't get me wrong it looks like a Saiga killer, but CA mechanical fuckery is ridiculous.
