My stock Remington 870 police magnum has a sling swivel on the magazine cap. Since I am going to install a magazine extension I will be losing the sling swivel. What do you guys recommend for mounting a front sling? The rear sling is the one on the Hogue stock (pictured below). Below is a PIC of what it currently has.

Either of the two above is far superior to the end cap one.

Thanks Guys. I knew you'd have the answer. I am thinking about the Nordic extension tube. Any reason to go with something else?

Nordic products are excellent.

These are a nice option to get the rear sling attachment point off the bottom of the stock.

Thanks Guys. I will check those out.

What about the Remington +2 extension with the barrel band and sling swivel?

The tube itself is a great choice if you looking to mount an M16 compatible bayonet:

I saw that. I would love to do the same thing, but understand it would probably cost more than I spent on the gun, extension and stock.

I got my mount on ebay for 1/2 the retail price, but even then it is well under $100 new, shipped.  ... and I already had the bayonet(s).

The CDM MOD-C light mount I went with is under $60, and I stuck a $3.99 Surefire 9P I found at Goodwill in it, adding a $39.99 Malkoff M61

Now that's mighty good info. Thank You. I might have to reconsider the bayonet, and the Remington extension.

I wanted to show you guys what I ended up with. It's an 870 Police Magnum manufactured in 1972. I bought it from Summit.
Overall it was in reasonably good shape. It came with the antiwalk pins and sling. I took it completely apart and cleaned/lubed it.
I don't think it was ever done since being new. However, no rust was found. I added the Remington +2 extension and the Hogue 12" LOP stock.
So I think I have a pretty decent 6+1 shotgun.
