To the hive..

I was curious as to why the Montefeltro (pretty Wood and bluing) is roughly 999.99 and the M2 (Synthetic and matte finish) is $1299?  Shoot the synthetic Montefeltro was at Academy for $729ish last month.  IMO, the Montefeltro is a nicer looking gun and the M2 is more utility.

Would any of you all know what the $200.00 difference is?  I assume that the production costs of bluing and wood finishing of the Montefeltro, has to cost more than the finishing costs of an M2 (Synthetic and matte finish).

Just curious......

Anyway, I bought the Montefeltro (wood) in 20ga for $950ish.

Thanks,
D

Agree with the "standard" versus "optional" features that differ between the two shotguns for some of the price difference.
-Chokes and comfort features from what I gather

On another note:
The newest revision of the Montefeltro comes with a barrel that has the higher vent rib barrel (just one model I believe).
The other models have a lower profile vent rib barrel that for me at least, makes it damn near impossible to get on target without literally smashing my face into the stock.
One is in-line with the top of the receiver the other sits a bit higher.
I have indeed shot an older model Montefeltro many times but never got close to shooting as good with it as my M1 Super 90, SBEII or SportII.

That is ONE SWEET, LIGHT 20 gauge!  Congratulations!  I'm jealous.

Thanks!  I still haven't found time to take it out to the range.
