I have an 1187 Sportsman 12 ga that I use for clays.  I was on the skeet range the other day and about 60 rds in it became very difficult to load via the carrier latch underneath.  I have an easy loader that was on the gun when I bought it 10 + years ago.  I have never had an issue but it is very difficult and inconsistent to use the latch to bring the bolt forward as well as load the second shell.  I completely field stripped the gun cleaned and lubed the trigger group and still the same.  Perhaps I just wore something out.

Any ideas would be a help

the easy loaders are attached with a roll pin that has a tendency to bend... the factory carrier lift pivot pin is a hardened solid pin... I'd look there first
