Recently went to the LGS and handled a shotgun. Can't remember what mfg/model.

NIB
Price was around $470
Black sythetic stock, standard
Semi-auto
Maybe 20" barrel, ribbed
+2 Mag tube
Charging handle was an oversized hollow square... This is what has me stumped. I can't find any 930 that has this handle from the factory.

Looked like a Mossberg 930, but I thought the tag said remington?
Remington 1100?

Sounds like a Remington 1100 with the tactical charging handle.   I had one on my 1100 and it was great.  Cost is about $10-15 for the charging handle.  Some of the tactical models come with it already on there.

I doubt it is a Remington 1100 if it is NIB for $470.   MSRP for them are more like $1K.

If it is a Remington, more likely a 11-87 with the oversize handle in the pictures above.  The hande would be an add on, as they don't come from the factory that way.  Even the 11-87 has a MSRP start around $750 or so.

A NIB Remington auto shotgun for $470 is a good price.

If its a tacti-up old 1100 it can be 470. New 3 gunners often by old 1100's throw a ext tube on them and instant poor mans versamax.

Honestly OP, it could be anything.

Have you called the store back to ask them what it was you were looking at at that price?

New-In-Box semi-auto shotgun for $470? It could be a piece of shit "Tristar".

Tristar or one of the other Turkish POS semi autos came to mind for me as well.

Ok, looks like it was either 1100 or 1187.

Im guessing they tagged it with the wrong price... Maybe I can snag it without them realizing their mistake.

I checked out the Tristar website. No model like it on there.

If is a mistagged 1100 tactical, grab it at that price.  They are discontinued  in favor of Versa Max, except for an upscate wood stocked hunting version.  I have three 1100s, all made in the '70s including a 22" improved cylinder "Deer Gun" that I have converted to tactical with Speedfeed stock, mag extension and other goodies.  Uber reliable.
