Now I don't usually do this but since this is the Shotgun drill I figured I had to because ARFcom LOVES the SHOTGUN! If you have a shot timer I encourage you to get out there and have some fun with the BSAT Shotgun Standard. If you don't have a shot timer then you really need to get one.

If you have a timer and a camera to record and aren't afraid, post up.

If you have a timer and no camera, post up the numbers.

Drill of the Week

So I went out this morning to see what I could do with this BSAT Shotgun deal.

Haven't shot this gun in about 3-4 months...

So after that I loaded up the birdshot and just went for speed of manipulation.

The BSAT is fun of nothing else.

I did blast one of my fucking stand 1"x2"s in half with the birdshot though. I had clipped it with a slug earlier and with the birdshot it lifted up and turned and BLAM, blew the fucker in half...

Things I am learning:
-I shoot left with a bead sight. I've known this and speed exacerbated it as my poor wooden upright shows lol
-I am too fast to pull the trigger, meaning I am pulling it before I have completed the cycle of the action. That is a big time killer on the 5/1 iteration.
-Reloading a shotgun FROM THE GUN is slow. I've never done it with a timer. Only in competition but there, I only saw the end time, not the splits.
-I need to practice reloading.

When I was looking at the targets it didn't seem right so after I turned off the camera I realized that the tape had falling off the targets from the previous run. I confirmed that when I got home and reviewed the targets.
