I lost the bead on my cut down 11 48 due to the reciprocating barrel. 2 beads are somewhere in orbit, including a tritium marbles one. I think the barrel is to thin for the threads to hold enough. I used the proper bead for the tap I used.

Id like to silver solder a base that will allow more threads to catch. The gun shoots REALLY, REALLY high also so it will bring my poi down a bit too.

Where can I find a pedastal? I cant seem to find one at numerichs which is my normal go to spot.

Those are all that are available (unless you salvage a pedestal from a barrel).

Two things you need to know about that Remington part: (1) The part is in the white, not parkerized as Midway advertises, and (2) the hole in the part is too large for a standard 6-48 bead. You can tap it for a loose 8-40 thread.

Remington part number F112410 is the correct fit press-in bead that fits the current 870 sight base.
