Who's gotten a great deal on a LEO trade in and how much work had to be done on it ???

I no longer have it, but back in '04, I came across a PD trade-in 870 Police Magnum with the wood furniture, for $150. It was in pretty good condition, considering it had likely been abused like a rented mule for a couple decades. I ended up putting a ghost ring night sight, Surefire foreend, Mesa Tactical SureShell, and Mesa Tactical stock adapter with 6-position M4 stock on it. Luckily, I was either given most of the stuff or got it at a good discount. When I eventually sold it, I made a sizable profit off of it.

I got an 870 police magnum from Summit Gunbroker for $320 last year.  I put a remington factory folding stock on it.  Nice gun, it's going to be an SBS project one day.

I got an 870 Police (18" ext mag) for $150 from local town PD that traded them into the shop when they went to 14" - this is in the 90s when the switched from boxy cars to rund chevy caprice and needed to get shorter shotguns for the holders that were installed in the cars.   the barrel was dinged, so I reparked it - looks like new now even after all these years looks great.

Smith & Wesson 9mm trade-ins.  Wish I had bought a couple more when they were available.

I've posted this before, but you asked..

This is my S&W 3000 that was turned in by the Loveland, CO PD.  I bought it for $99.  It came with a shitty folding stock.

I put a speedfeed stock on it and had a guy in texas who specializes in the S&W shotguns make a 2 rd extension tube.  Some time this fall I'm going to put sights on it and have it duracoated.

I call him "the old dog"

Two 870's from the Kentucky State Police.  Haven't made any changes, just running them as I got them.

This was an 18" 870P that was a police trade I got for $200 + tax. I got a 14" factory barrel with rifle sights from botach for $149 and added a Vang Comp +1. The minimalist Proctor sling doesn't require additional mounts. I dremeled a spot to attach a Magpul cantilever rail on the forend and run a Inforce WML there. I used this in a 3 day class and was pleased with how it handled.

My friends picked up 5 or 6 as well. They were beaters on the outside but almost new on the inside.

Just picked up an older wingmaster with the 20 inch barrel what mag extension would work the best to have it flush with the barrel end thanks

Picked up a 590 for $180.  The front sight was broke, so I ordered a new one from Brownells, along with a new mag tube spring and follower.  Total cost in the gun is  $227.
