You heard me right, show me your SBS wood stocked guns only.

No plastic allowed.

Yes I know there is a picture thread, but way too many tacticool guns to sift through.

I'm going to make another SBS, probably an 870, but I am looking for some inspiration.

Not a true SBS, but a short 21" IC barrelled Rem 1100 circa early '70s with open rifle sights.  Only mod was the magazine extension.

Someone PM me in about 2 weeks. I figure that's when guncat will have my barrel back to me.

Been seriously thinking about SBS'ing this one. Its an older 870 Wingmaster. Action is like glass. They don't make them this smooth anymore.

That Wingmaster is a beaut!

Thanks. Been thinking the same thing. Kinda be a shame to cut it down.

So, I picked up its Magnum cousin today. Ill chop that one instead.

The nice thing about SBS'ing a shotgun (especially an 870) is all you need is a different barrel.

Your beautiful Wingmaster will go on looking just as it does now. Just pop on a different barrel and enjoy your short wood.

* you will have some additional engraving on the receiver, but there is nothing that says it can't be fancy writing.

How about an AOW

I have a SBS Police 870 with wood furniture.

I am seriously considering chopping an inch off the stock because I like the wood and do not really want to switch to plastic.

Technically it's not mine yet, can't own one here in Indiana until after July 1st.  It's paid for but I can't submit the paperwork until July.

I know I've posted this one a few times but it fits your criteria

For those that posted ~ 14" with rifle sights, why did you choose rifle sights?

I expect my F1 to come back tonight or tomorrow, and have a VR barrel I'm going to chop, but also want a nice heavy parkerized factory barrel at 14".
Trying to decide between bead or rifle sights.

I went with rifle sights because I've seen too many ghost rings sights installed crooked on the receivers.  I'm not taking that chance on an NFA receiver and the rifle sights will work well enough.  It also allows me a bit more versatility should I choose to change things up later on.

Just started this build but I'm not sure which mag extension to use. As you can see it's unfinished unless I want to use the factory plus 3.

On the hunt for some police wood but this express wood will have to work for right now.

Bought this as a used Puerto Rican trade in police magnum for $240 OTD
