Well I finally got around to ordering a VEPR since the price recently dropped to $800. I couldn't justify waiting any longer since they could be banned from import at anytime.  I really want to SBS this thing, probably in the 12-14" range.  Has anyone done this? How much tinkering is going to be necessary on the gas system to get it to run right?  I am wanting to shorten it as much as possible without having to actually relocate the gas block.  I've poked around on the saiga forum, but they are pretty lacking on tech info.
