Are there any markings on the barrel indicating chamber length?

Anytime a 870 serial number ends in (M) that designates it as a Magnum receiver no matter what else.

At some point the Express model got even cheaper......and they removed "Express Magnum" from the roll mark.

The Remington Tactical models are all based on the Express.

i know the remington HD models just say remington 870 on them..idk about the long barrel vent ribs, they may still say express.. |

Mine just says express. It has no dimples and the old style mag spring retainer. Also seems to have an alloy trigger group. How did this happen?
