Posted: 6/26/2012 6:58:04 PM THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I bought a used 870 last year, 12 ga. It's marked Remington 870. It does not say Express, but did have the express style barrel retention. It also has the plastic trigger housing and MIM extractor. The serial begins with AB and ends with M. It does not have the ISS lock. Is this just an older express/pre lock and is it safe for mag loads?

Guess that answers that. The orig barrel was packed away. Replaced it with a 20in smooth bore with rifle sights.
