The sling attaches by wrapping around the stock, and cinching down with a velco fastener. There are no modifications one needs to do to the weapon. Installation took less than a minute and was as simple as putting a sling plate on the magazine tube and wrapping the butt end around the stock. The nylon is decent quality, as well as the stitching. All placing doesn't feel cheap and is marked "National Molding".
One of the features that really makes this sling shine is the ability to quickly adjust the length. This allows to have the weapon riding snug up against you, and in a flash loosen up the sling to allow for manipulation. The way Spectre did this was through a spring loaded metal clamp the is on the forward side of the sling.
The sling is made in the USA, and is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.
The only major concern I have is whether or not the velcro is going to hold the rear portion of the sling on to the gun, or if it will simply slip off the butt. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the sling in time to use it in the class, but if any problems arise further down the line, I'll let everyone know. To sum it up, if anyone is looking for a sturdy, easy to mount 2 point sling, I would recommend the Spectre sling. |
