I own an older Benelli Nova with a 26" barrel.  I'm looking to get an 18.5" barrel but the local shop wants to charge me as much for the barrel as I paid for the whole gun.

Is this normal for replacement barrels for the Benelli?  Is there someplace I can look for the barrel online?  I've done google searches but that hasn't turned up anything.

Benelli barrels are beaucoup dollars.  Just the way it is.  You might get lucky and find one on the cheap somewhere, but don't hold your breath.

Maybe check the EE and gunbroker.com

Ya never know when one might pop up.

You might be able to get GunCat to chop it down and install chokes. Not sure if he can do Benelli chokes.

If you don't care for the long barrel anymore I second the motion to get Guncat to cut it down and install chokes.
