Just a word of caution: unless they've changed in the last few years, those snap-on Tru-Glo front sights are pretty fragile. I went through three of them in less than six months. I like the brightness of them, and the sight plane is the same as the factory bead. They just tended to break a lot. Great shotgun, though. I wish Mag-Pul had been around when I had that gun. Looks good! |

Perhaps a few of the SBSs and 5-shot factory guns. The Limbsaver isn't even on there anymore actually. The weight of it and the sling is pretty much nothing? My 870 came from the factory with the extension, and I don't feel like changing it. I'd rather take the extra capacity anyways. The stock is a Speedfeed 4s, and is relatively light. The sling is a cheap Uncle Mikes Shotgun Sling. The only thing that I really bolted on to the gun is the Streamlight rail, and it's just a tiny piece of metal with some polymer attached to it. Not sure how accurate it is, but according to my Bass Pro fish scale, it weighs barely over 8lbs unloaded. I don't claim it's the lightest, but it's definitely lighter than a lot of the shotguns in this thread though. It doesn't have a fancy stock adapter, AR furniture, or a heatshield, or a sidesaddle, or a bayonet either I was claiming it's lighter compared to the shotguns in this thread that have a full length picatinny rail with two lights, three lasers, a VFG, an optic, and 15 rounds in shell holders attached to the side. |

That's exactly what it looks like. I swapped out the wood furniture on an 870 I once owned for that very reason. Hacking up the wood wasn't something I wanted to do. |

It would have to be a hell of a side saddle, because the edge of it is in front of the receiver. Either way, I got a set of wood police furniture for a lot cheaper than they usually go for. |
