It does seem like a good idea for home defense gun if one has lots of other guns.    It actually does what everyone expects a shotgun to do.   That's impressive.

The Hornady Light Mag 00 Buckshot load. This load has a good shot cup and usually shoots tight patterns.  

This is at 5 yards with a rifled barrel.
