Is that a factory 3-volt Surefire or a converted 6-volt?

That's badass Gus.  I can't decide between a M1 or M3 myself.  I'm kinda leanig toward the M1.

My brother has a "pre-ban" M1, and I would consider trading mine for it! Well, maybe it would be better to say that I plan on getting an M1 one of these days.... can't see getting rid of the M3. You can get more accessories for the M1, and it's less complicated. The M3 has the advantage of being able to fire just about any type of ammo, since it can be used as a pump as well as semi auto.

That is a converted 3 volt forend.  Done to accomodate the bayonet lug.  Not quite as bright but gets the job done.

What part #s did you use in the conversion?  I looked around the Surefire website and did not see the 3-volt body listed.

I don't have the part number handy.  You need to call surefire directly, and speak with technical support.  They can give you the part number and order if for you if you wish.

MAiNEiac

Where did you get the light rail from for the M1014?

The light mount is an ARMS 21 scope ring with ARMS 22TRC and 1" adapter, attached to an ARMS 22TRR Tactical Ring Rail.  The 22TRR provides the picatinny surface for the Surefire throwlever attachment of the 12V Millenium light.
 This was initially a temporary setup, as the ring has to be removed from the mag tube to remove the barrel.  However, in a reply to an inquiry that I made last month, Surefire now says that they have no plans for a mount for the Benelli M1014/M4.
 A better solution seems to be the mount available from Sidearmor.

MAINEiac, great pic.

How did Ted Nugent say it?  If you are going to Assault someone, use a shotgun!   I need to research that.  Good sig line.

How are you guys using long magazine tubes on your post ban benellis?

Breaking the AWB.

[Last Edit: mike103] [#33]

To my knowledge, its not an AWB issue, but an import issue. If they put te right amount of US parts in it, they can have extended magazines.

Nope, no pistol grip with an extended mag on a semi auto shotgun per the AWB.

"(D) a semiautomatic shotgun that has at least 2 of--
             "(i) a folding or telescoping stock;
             "(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the
         action of the weapon;
             "(iii) a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds; and
             "(iv) an ability to accept a detachable magazine.".

I was wondering the same thing.  Unless they are LEO only firearms.

Ihave a question about that.  Is it illegal to have that on there for cosmetic purposes as well?  What I mean is can you put on the mag extension and not extend the capacity(I.e. leave the cap that is on there so that it still only holds 4 rounds.) and not get busted for it? or is it pretty much "guilty by association" If you have it on the gun and even though you don't increase capacity it is still an assault rifle?

My attempt at a tactical shotgun.

Used Remington 870 3" Express Magnum $175.

Wislon/Scattergun Tritium Ghost Ring Sights. $86.21

Wilson/Scattergun +2 Mag Extension. $42.00

Vang Oversized Safety. $7.00

About an hour burnishing the barrel and smooting up the internals.

I still need to find a Surefire forend.
