Just got a FNX 45 tactical and I'm wondering what RMR is the easiest to pick up color/ shape/ MOA?

RM06

The same one you should pu on any pistol you want a red dot for. Trijicon RMR RM06. It is simply the best red dot for the money. Optics you get what you pay for. Buy a cheap red dot and you will only suffer.

I prefer the RM08G's. I have
one on my EDC 17.4, and
another one on my first
FNXT. I have another RM08G
on order for my other FNXT.

Did I say I like RM08G's?

I like the fine aiming point
of the top of the triangle.

I like green over amber.

YMMV and let the hater's do their thing.

John

Edit to add comments toward the OP's
specific questions:

I like the triangle reticles because their
angular shape stands out better for me,
in most backgrounds. The same is true
for the green ones.

I also like the no battery thing. And others
are quick to bring up that the dual illum's
can wash out when looking from inside a
darkened building out to a brightly lit
area, which will happen in the correct
conditions, but I feel that it such a rare
condition that it's not something to worry
about, especially when coupled with co-
witnessed iron sights, which I feel is
mandatory for carry or combat weapon.

Again, I carry my 17.4 Glock with my
RMR as my EDC piece. With Critical
Duty 135 +P's, I get sub 2" groups at
30 yards from a rest. I did say from a
rest, but I know what the pistol is
capable of, and what I am comfortable
doing with it, should the need arise.

A 5 shot group at 30 yards.

Good Luck.

John

I've owned two RM08 one in amber then one in green. Didn't like them. The LED versions are much better I think.

The dot is 3.25 on the RM06 and the Thread Protector is from BACKUP TACTICAL - CUSTOM THREAD PROTECTORS. They have a crazy selection of thread protectors in lots of sizes. Website says RSR is their Distributor.

When the Hearing Protection Act passes Congress people are going to be needing lots of silencers, threaded barrels and thread protectors. People love to customize their guns, who would have thought people would want custom thread protectors. I liked it so much I even got one for Glock and an RMR too!

This one I actually carry. The FNX is a tad to big, just a tad.

I found an RM07 (the 6.5 MOA LED version) on a BF deal where, with my coupon codes and such I e fed up spending $475 for it to show up on my door, so I went with that.

I really had eyes on the Leopoldo , but some internet research led me to believe it wasn't a deop-in match for the fnx, and did t want to take a file to either one of them :-(

What holster is that?  Leather or plastic?  And who sun it?

It is a no name Kydex holster for a G19 that I bought on Ebay for $35 a couple of years ago. I pulled out my handy dandy Dremel tool and sawed off the parts of the holster that were in the way of the RMR and the threaded barrel.

I actually ordered a RMR ready IWB holster from T Rex, and I prefer the one in the picture that I cut up myself! It rides at a lower height than the T Rex. I prefer lower ride for IWB.

I don't understand the last part of your question "...who sun it?" Did you mean who milled the slide? L&M Precision.

I had a Burris FastFire2 on my FNP-45.  It worked OK.  Sight adjustments were a bitch.  Did not use the mounting plate.

Sorry, I got autocorrected.  What I was hoping to type was "who made it"...

Everybody is going to like something different.
I tried a RM01, RM02, RM05g, RM06 and RM07.
I ended up liking the RM02.
