FNP has an unsupported chamber that with IIRC Winchester White Box ammo it would bulge the ammo. The FNX has a supported chamber I believe.I have the FNP45 TAC and it is an awesome gun. So far I have not had any issues related to the unsupported chamber.

I've had both the FNXT and FNPT, sold both and bought an HK45T & HKUSPT. I like the HKs significantly more.

Well, considering the FNP and mags were discontinued in favor of the FNX, I'd say go with the one that's actually being supported.

When I was down at Ft Polk earlier this year I happened to run across some full capacity FNP45 mags that were discounted to $19.99 each. I bought a few, and then bought some more the next time I went back down to Polk

Let me first say I haven't shot either, and I am a fanboy of neither but between an FNX and a H&K USP Tac, I would go with the H&KUSP Tactical. The FNX does have the capacity advantage, but... the FN supposedly has a few um less durable components.

Love my FNX-45T, I wouldn't get the discontinued FNP, it's cheaper for a reason. Can't say much on HK's, wasn't a fan just holding them and less capacity.

I had one of each and had no problems with the FNP, but the FNX had to go back to the factory for repair.
