Hey, all

I realized I had put this in the wrong section..

I found an archived thread from a couple years ago with several members wanting a detailed disassembly/reassembly videos, illustrations, etc. of the FNS 9/FNS 40 (they would be the same)

There is a very good one of the complete slide takedown, but nothing I can find on the lower receiver/frame.

Has anyone found any since that thread?

Thanks,

Doc

Really? Nothing?

No one found anything for taking down the fire control unit?

I'm with you.  I have been waiting for one for about a year. If you find one, please post here.

If someone wants to buy me a GoPro and a Tripod, I'll make the video :)

I have had one of mine down to every last pin:

Very interested in this.... Go to amazon.  They have great deals.  Take the plunge and buy the go pro!

Then start taking videos of everything and you can be as famous and Nutn Fancy!

Seriously though.  I don't know how but make it happen.

Hey.

There is now an EXCELLENT 3 part videos on the FNS complete disassembly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwxRozbBHHw      slide

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFuJMbMO4YI         sear block

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZEZuv5LLTE         trigger/frame

Just a heads up for those with full size FNS models.. you will see what I mean when you watch the third video, BUT when you go to remove the front rails/take down block, you actually need to take a needle nose or snap ring pliers and spread open the frame slightly to get that part out. There is no pin there for the full size models.

I don't recall needing to pry the frame apart on mine...

Do you expect there to be a significant difference between the striker fired models and the hammer fired?

I have the FNX45.  I will brave it!

The FNP/FNX are the ones that you need to spread open the frame to get the front rail block out.

As far as there being a difference between the hammer guns and the striker guns, yeah, the FCG is pretty different. Then, you also have the differences in the slide itself (striker v. firing pin).
