Does anyone have any info on whether the FNP45 mags will fit and funtion in the new FNX45 pistols? I'm strongly considering the new FNX-45 Compact that's coming out, almost 3/4" shorter that the standard, but don't want to have to stock up on a whole new size of magazine. I've got a Tactical and regular FNP now with lots of spare mags, if they'll fit the compact I'll get one. Thanks for any help.

No way to be sure until the pistol is actually released, but I'd wager that since the height of the handgrip is shorter that the mags won't be the same. Whether or not the longer mags will still work although sticking out the bottom of the handgrip remains to be seen.

IOW, No one knows yet.

The website lists a possible mag capacity of 15 rounds, so i would think the mags will probably work.

I read somewhere (the FN forums maybe) that the mags for the FNX were one of the things that would be different between it and the FNP, so the mags were not compatible between the two. Granted, that could be complete rumorware , so take that for what it's worth.

I'm still waiting for them to come out and do a full compare between the two. Hopefully they'll be out in the next 6 months or so.
