This will be the first time I've used a optic on a pistol. I have a acog with a docter and really like it. Will I notice a difference between the RMR and the doctor?

Thanks for your time,
Shawn.

I put a Docter on mine but I have never shot with an RMR. Would love to shoot with one and get a comparison. So basically this is just a tag to see what others have to say

The FOV is probably quite similar due to their sizes. The RMR will give you added durability over the Docter (I have seen crushed Docters––the RMR is practically indestructible) but the RMR will cost more.

I'm using a RMR dual illumination with 7 moa dot. Adjustments are easier using a coin, cartridge rim. As stated, built like a tank.

Have you used your dual illumination RMR with a weapon mounted light at night?
I've read about it "washing out" not that it's a big deal I won't be running through the kill house with this weapon. Just curious...

Thanks.

Yes I have. The dot is visible, but does not stand out like in broad daylight. Don't waste time looking for a dot, when you should be shooting. You should be looking for the front sight post and your target you're shooting at. The dot is there to assist in aiming, a front sight focus is always needed. Basic fundamentals.

I would look into Leupolds Delta Dot. If I remember right they have a much better warranty than the others...I think its life time
