I called for a call tag and sent it back to the factory. They had it for 5 weeks and I heard nothing. I called and asked for the status of repair and they said they never received the gun. I had UPS do a trace and got the delivery info and receiving persons signature. I called Beretta via phone to share the information. They verified that it was a real person and employee but no receipt of any handgun. I faxed them the UPS trace info. No contact for another 3 weeks. I called back and asked "whats up?". They said they located my handgun and it was entered into the repair department Que. I asked them when it would be fixed and returned and they told me several more week ( I dont remember) and that really pissed me off. I said becasue they misplaced it the least they could do is expedite the repair and return it. I got the gun back in 2 weeks but the new and original box looked like an elephant sat on it and the cleaning rod and accessories were missing. I called to get a replacement box, cleaning rod and manual which I did. I put the returned "new" gun into its replacement box and promptly sold it without firing a shot. The entire time the person / people on Beretta's end of the phone were down right rude and acted like they were doing me a favor with no sense of urgency. This was the one single factory why I never would sell ANY Beretta firearm or ever by one again. This was several years back and maybe things changed but that incident lasts a lifetime and their are plenty of firearm options around. I have had far better service when needed by Ruger & S&W. Colt kind of blows and I never was a big Colt fan anyway. I have worked in manufacturing my entire life and mistake do happen. Having a "dont give a shit" attitude = death in CS. They still make awesome shotguns but so does a lot of other guys too. I feel your pain JKH62. But, I contend that Kimber America beats them all in terms of unacceptable customer service. (IMO, Kimber CS is overwhelmed due to the inconsistent quality of the Kimber products, pistols and rifles). |

Mistakes happen but when given a chance to make it right its how that company or person reacts is key. .....don't own a Kimber and will never have another Beretta in my home either! |
