Witness mags work, as do Jericho mags. Wolff springs for the appropriate size Witness fit.
I manually brought the hammer down and shot mine SSP, so there wasn't anything to fix on it. I used both a Bianchi Accumold holster and a Fobus paddle, and both worked just fine. There are no aftermarket sights for the pistol proper, but a gunsmith should be able to find a close fit and then machine the slide to take the sights you like. Around here (as in, VA) they just tell you to f*** off, in typical Virginia customer service. As far as smoothing the break-in, mods and pictures thereof were posted, and make a huge difference. Or you can do what I did and fill the pistol with grit and then feed it over 10,000 full-house loads - it's smooth as a baby's bottom now. If you lube the rails and back of the slide generously with something thicker than CLP (Hoppes, Militec, SAE30 engine oil) it also helps, since the fit is tight, and together with the hammer to slide friction initially can cause issues. |

There is a good gunsmith over in Suffolk I may take it to if I shoot the qualifier and like it. He mainly works 1911s, but apparently also knows the CZ type as well. I've actually got my pre-B over there for a Gun Kote finish. I'll shoot the classifier, then see what I can do about having him polish it up or work on some sights for me.

I purchased mine a while back and didn't shoot it much until I Started IPSC.
Unfortunately there are next to no accessories for this gun. Luckily I have adjustable sights, but I would like to find a compatible front sight to upgrade to fiberoptic. Anyone know if our front sight is compatible with anything else? As stated before, Mec-Gar 16 round Witness mags work great. I had a guy make a custom DOH style kydex holster similar to a Blade tech DOH. He charged me $30 and it took him an hour or so. I'm sure someone around you makes similar custom fitted holsters that would work for IDPA. I use CR speed versa pouches for the mags, but my factory XD40 mag pouches worked perfectly before I got them. If you reload, this pistol (all CZ, but I feel like this one moreso) has a SHORT throat. There are a few threads on the CZ forum that explain this. I tried loading Precision 147 gr moly bullets, but I had to load them to 1.05" to pull the bullet of the lands, and that is to low of an OAL for the fast powders I use. 124gr Montana Gold JHP work nicely at 1.08" and there are no pressure issues. That's all I have, but I would love for this forum to become more active. I love this gun, I just hate that there is NO support for it. |

I'm looking for anyone that has accessories for this gun, especially mags, sights, or grips. I'm starting IDPA soon, and I'll probably use this gun for my first matches, but if I can't find some accessories, I'll be back in CZ-USA land very shortly. Anyone know where I can find accessories? I may try some of the Witness mags from CDNN, but grips and sights seems to be non-existent. We have plenty of magazines in stock here at ArmaLite. We also carry Safariland compact and full size holsters (IDPA approved). As for sights, we're looking to TruGlo or Trijicon to see what they can do for us. Don't have a timeline on this though. TR |

Let me know how it works out. If he's willing to re-cut the slide on it to fit some standard sights, I'd be over there with matching Novak sights right this minute. BTW, Novak said he'd do something for us, but someone would need to drop by with an AR-24 so he can figure out what he's got that will fit. |

I'm going in today to pick up my CZ. If the auto guy is there, I'll ask him about the Armalite sights as well.

Talked to Zig at Revolver Armorer today. He looked over my AR24 and said he could definitely do some different sights, but they would probably have to be custom. He has built several Witness and CZ guns (he just Gun-Koted mine), and I believe he shoots them in competition, or at least has at some point. Check them out here.

Shot the classifier tonight. Out of 100 rounds, I had 10+ stovepipes, 1 failure to extract, and 2 double feeds. All mags were factory, and I was shooting factory Winchester white box 9mm. I'm putting the stupid thing up on Gunbroker. Between the performance and lack of accessories, I'm just gonna stick with a Glock or CZ.....

I had exactly the same probs plus more years ago when mine was new. Slightly modified the 1.) Hammer top angle. 2.) FP retainer plate radiused. 3.) FP channel rail height matched to FP retainer plate. After that, all probs went away. One of the most accurate and relaible 9mms I own.. Since then, I only changed out the recoil spring to a one pound heavier wolff. The post is floating around here somewhere.. Think about it before you dump it. It completely changed the gun for me. YMMV Good luck whatever you decide. |
