Building on the popularity of the LKC (Leather/Kydex®/Suede) holster, The Mako Group has released the SKC (Synthetic/Kydex®/Suede) holster.

Like the LKC, the SKC features at its core a rugged tactical Kydex® holster in a combat proven design. The inner layer of both the LKC and the SKC is a smooth suede that protects the pistol and allows smooth, quiet draws. While the LKC holster features an outer layer of fine leather, the SKC's outer layer is a synthetic material that replicates the look of leather with better resistance to hard use and harsh environmental conditions. The outer and inner layers give the Kydex® added strength against breaking. The layers are bonded together and attractively stitched at the edges to prevent any chance of separation under hard use. Tension is user adjustable with two tension screws.

For those who prefer the classic look of leather, but desire the tactical advantages of Kydex®, the SKC and LKC holsters are the holsters of choice.

The SKC holster is available with the unique BFL belt-mounting system, or as a specially designed paddle holster. The SKC and LKC holsters are manufactured for The Mako Group by Front Line in Israel.

The BFL system allows the holster to be mounted on the belt and removed without unbuckling or removing the belt. A set of interchangeable spacers allow the holster to fit a range of belt widths, from dress belts to duty belts.

The LKC (Leather Kydex® Suede) holster that the SKC holster is based on.

Nice.

So you could have several different guns and holsters in the range bag and interchange without removing the belt?
I'm not always right , but I'm not really wrong either!!!

Yes, and it is nice when you park on the street in front of the federal building and want to take the holster off the belt without opening the car door, standing up, unhooking your belt, and looking up to see mothers shielding their children's faces, or coming back to find your car window smashed and the pistol gone.

All Front Line holsters are available for right or left handed shooters. If there is not a LH holster in stock for your pistol, we can get one built for you.

I am working on getting hooked up with the local IDPA expert to make sure. There are a couple of things that I don't have the expertise to determine for sure myself. I'll let you know soon.

Hi, great holsters. I've seen them on your site and love them. Also I've seen them on gunbroker.com. MakoDefense if you allow me, I have a few questions.
First I would like to know whether you do make this holsters for HK P30 , HK USP Compact, HK 45 . Where can I find them for sale ? I am particularly interested in The LKC 3-Layers (Leather Kydex® Suede) Holster and in KNG (Kydex® New Generation) Holster. I wrote twice to the themakogroup Сostomer serviсе to get any info about it and unfortunately all to no avail. I hope you can answer
And yes, if this holsters will be legal for IDPA, that will be great.

Sorry, I missed your emails because I was at SHOT Show and left my laptop charger at home. These holsters are available for the USP compact and the P30. You should have received a reply this morning.

Ok, sorry for the time that this took, but I wanted to be sure. From my careful reading of the rules, and the tests used to determine legality of a holster for IDPA use, and from feedback I received by sending a holster to the local IDPA guys, this holster is legal for IDPA use. Legality can be somewhat dependent on individual body shape, but I am skinny and the pistol is close enough to my body to pass the 3/4 dowel test. This goes for either the BFL belt mount system or the paddle system, with the paddle system being capable of being worn as a traditional paddle (paddle inside the pants) or as a belt holster (belt through the paddle and a belt loop) as desired. The paddle holds the pistol against my body, while the BFL system holds the pistol less than 1/2" from my body.

This will apply to this holster, and the Leather/Kydex/Suede holster (LKC) as well as to any of the other holsters that use the same BFL or paddle design, including the following:

K40xxC or K40xxPC Kydex Holster with suede lining

KNGRxx or KNGRxxP Kydex New Generation (KNG) holsters

Currently, The Mako Group stocks only right handed holsters. I will talk to some people about this and see if I can get it changed. In the meanwhile, you can contact 7.62 Precision (IM me for contact info) who handle the LH holsters and the Front Line holster models that are not stocked by The Mako Group.

What pistol do you need the holster for?

What pistol do you need it for?

Check with 7.62 Precision - they stock all models that Mako does not and they carry left hand.
