It's back from getting cut to 4.5"s, threaded and front site moved back. Jim Pixely did the work (no affiliation).

I did not want a gnarled thread protector with this being a slabside. I just didn't think that would look very good together. So he fluted it to go along with my 10/22 fluted thread protector.

Thanks.  Was looking at those but was wondering if they'd fit.

Thanks.  Was looking at those but was wondering if they'd fit.

They do fit, but not perfectly. They're a tiny bit too big for the grips, and you have to cut the area around the slide release to make them fit.

The gun is obviously not fully assembled right now, but you can see how there are small gaps and a little bit too much material. This may be different with non-factory grips.

Mine was sitting on my desk last night when I got in from the airport.  Trimmed the excess and love how they feel on the 22/45.  Thanks

What lightrail is this?! I have wanted a GSG1911 ever since I first saw it. The only reason why I haven't gotten one is because I want to mount a TLR-1 to it and the stock lightrail makes it hang way to low. Please tell me! The tree rats that launch endless wave after wave assaults against my attic must die!!!

Suppressor is still in jail, but I picked this new toy up the other day. It's fun to shoot but malfunctions almost every mag. Hopefully that's just part of the break-in.

New to me S&W 650, .22 Magnum. Took it out for a spin today out in the desert. Shooting at a tire POI seems a few inches off to the right, need to test it on a rest.

Before:

Today:

Almost no recoil and fun to shoot, double action pull is a little stiff.

Just went over to my buddy's house a couple of blocks away and picked this up, it was basically NIB. Put half a mag through it in his back yard and bought it for $300, he threw in a box of Winchester .22 (the 333 round one) and a box of 5.56 for my AR.

I've wanted a .22 pistol forever (lots of squirrel/raccoon problems lately) but never bit the bullet til today. I haven't bought a gun in five years and in the last week I've bought three.

Plans for the future include a suppressor and light, once I get my SBR project rolling.
